Chapter 3 and book news #amwriting

[image error]Chapter 3 of City of the Sun has been added to Wattpad. Gianna is an interesting character to write. She has been raised by her mean grandmother, forced to marry the mayor’s son who clearly hates her. She has these dreams of a different time, and finally reunited with her only love. But the demons are coming into the city. And in the next few chapters, we investigate that more. So I hope you guys are enjoying the story. To those waiting, once it is done on Wattpad you can read it as an ebook. I am looking forward to putting it all together.

This weekend my great friend Krys Janae, for those who know she wrote the sequel to Seeing Stars, she did an interview for GKJ Publishing. You can watch below. There is a little new info on Among the Stars, which will finish the Logan and Alisa storyline.

I am editing Blood Ties the sequel to Blood Witch. Once I am done, and it gets edited and more editing. I should have a release date for everyone. I am hoping for an August release date. I have the cover and am ready to show it off, which will be in the next few weeks. Stay tuned!!

Conquest Book Review #bookreview #horror

Let me start off and let my readers know I have known Robbie for over 15 years. We became friends from a zombie group, before the genre became saturated. We had a lot in common like chatting about that one old TV series, you might remember, Lost. ;oP We [image error]joined a few other friends in a horror writing group. We had weekly challenges. One, which was my favorite, was we had to kill off 4 or 5 friends. In my story VR, Robbie is one of the friends who I kill off by being eaten by a giant moth. I was one of Robbie’s first fans. And I have been rooting for him to write a book for [image error]years. And he finally did it! And of course I was so excited to support him by buying his book. And I was not disappointed. Conquest is a horror book. It is not over graphic, and it is a genre that has’t been overdone. The story follows Sheriff Hill and the other people of Conquest, a small historic mining town. As the 4th of July gets closer so does a devastating wild fire. An unfortunate event brings a biker gang to town called The Pack. As the fire draws closer people start coming up missing and murdered. What I like about this story is the story line of Susan. A beat down woman, who learns her strength. So what are you waiting for? Go buy it.

Books are coming along… #amwriting

I have finished writing out Blood Ties, which is the sequel to Blood Witch. Now to edit, edit, edit. It will be out this year. Finally. Coming soon will be the cover release, blurb, and release date.

Also in book news I have also finished Rock My Stars. This is a standalone book that is in the same world as Star Struck books. I love these books. I will also be helping Krys Janae finish up Among the Stars the end of the Alisa and Logan books. But they will have mentions and cameos in other Starstruck novels. Rock my stars will introduce Spencer and Tabitha. I will be tackling the edits for that after Blood Ties. Cover is in the works. I am hoping to release that  book this year as well.

Next up is my Novella City of the Sun. This is book 1 of 4 right now. Cover reveal and more coming soon. This might be released on my Wattpad. I am still not sure about that.

I have had some time to get things done I haven’t had to in a while. I had some life changes, so now I am in-between work. But it feels so good to jump back in and get these stories out of my head. I have so many voices demanding their story be told. But I just haven’t had time. Between evil day job, and the craft business I run with my husband I was pulled to thin. And lets not forget all the shitty things that have happened. It has been one thing after another. My husband almost died, my dog died, my father died, my mother in law almost died, my middle sister died right after my mother in law got out the hospital. The past few years have been crappy. But I am getting things back together. If you noticed the cure baby on my Instagram, that is my beautiful baby niece Reagan. Quitting my day job has let me not only get back to my love of writing but has also let me bond with her. I am going to start getting more active on my blog and social sites as well. So yay for getting my shit back into shape.

New Year, New Stuff, New Me…

[image error]Happy New Year. I am happy 2018 is over. The past few years have been really hard on me and my family. I lost my dog, almost lost my husband, lost my dad, almost lost my mother in law, lost my sister, lost some close friends, and almost lost myself.

But no more thinking of things lost. I am looking forward. I have a new baby Niece who will be making her debut this month. I have 2 books planned to finally come out this year. I am changing my mind set and trying to focus on me and the stuff that brings me joy. So I will be on here blogging more.

So finally I can say that Blood Ties the sequel to Blood Witch will be out this year. Yay! I am working on the final book of the Elemental Trilogy as well. I am hoping to release it this year as well. No new years resolutions cause that way I don’t have to break them and feel guilty. I am making life and health promises to myself. Because I am responsible for myself no one else is. ?

Valhalla Bound… A tribute to my dad.

Jerry Rocky Potts

April 6, 1956 – June 6, 2017

Today marks a full month since my dad passed away. Obituaries are expensive. So what a better way to pay tribute then on my blog.

Jerry was the youngest and only son to Richard and Mary Potts. He had 2 older sisters, Bonnie Potts and Penny Reedle. All waiting for him with open arms and a beer. Maybe a smack as well.

My grandfather Richard was a steel worker. And the family traveled all over the US as he worked on bridges and dams, most notably the Oroville Dam. He had plenty of ghost stories and tales he liked to tell about living in the southern states. The family came back to California and settled in Santa Maria. This is where he met the love of his life Eva Thomas.

They were married July 5, 1975, and at one time managed a motel in Merced. But mom got pregnant with me and they moved back to Santa Maria. I was Born in November 1979. My dad stated he was over protective of me. One halloween someone said something negative and lost an eye. I was dad’s son. I climbed trees, stole his whiskey shots, got to excited watching Rocky and wrestling.

18 months after I was born Sara was born. We lived in Santa Maria until I was about 6. We relocated to Atwater, where dad and mom got jobs building ladders and Windows. Soon mom went and got her CNA license and dad became a truck driver. Which he did until he retired. Jerika surprised us in 1991. Making the last of the Potts girls. Then we were living in Winton where we grew up, and were known by our dad. You were one of the Potts girls lol.

Dad loved motorcycles, a nice cold beer,  preferably Budweiser, a good movie, usually with Bruce Willis, and good music.

He left me with a love/hate relationship with zombies, a love of movies, a dark sense of humor, and the love of rock music.

His stories will live on. My favorites being he had dinner with Albert Einstein, and met Metallica at the McDonald’s in Fresno.

For those who knew him. Knew he was an asshole. But he was our asshole. And he never turned down our friends when they were in need of help. A lot of them became family knowing our house was a safe place.

RIP dad you will be missed, but at least I knew you were proud of all that I am. And he loved my mom, me, my sisters, and cousins so much.

Memorial will be July 29th.

Rediscovering Myself…

It has been a while since I posted. I am here  I am alive. I am waking up…

For the past year and half I have been hit with this crippling depression. When I thought about writing I would get a bad headache or cry. I love writing… But with this disease I could not find pleasure in anything. i couldn’t even read, and I LOVE to read. After a few doctor visits and a change in some medications. I noticing parts of myself that I missed.

In the past month I have read more then I have in a while. It’s back! The tickle, the need to write is coming back. The fun part, in which I didn’t notice I had lost, singing in the shower. I caught myself, but didn’t stop.

So Mondays I am going to be posting stories as I try to rediscover myself. Wednesdays I will post about writing. And Fridays will be Fan Girl Fridays. I have a lot of things to share.

So look forward to more from me, also cover reveals! I do plan on having The Opposite Side Book 2 out this October. I have an awesome cover to show. I also have one for my Starstruck novel Rock my Stars. I am hoping for a Winter release.
