My Top 10 Favorite Books #topten #imabooknerd #epicstories
This was a hard list to write. But on my personal Facebook page I was challenged to share my top 7.

The Stand is my all time favorite. I read it when I was a teen. The cut version. Got the uncut, read it a million times. Now I have a few versions. One is the one with the cover with Molly Ringwal from the TV series. Which I own and have watched a million times.
The Stand covers multiple people you will grow to love or hate, and their journey after a plague kills off 99.5% or 99.9% of the population. The good people are drawn to Mother Abigail and the bad to Randal Flagg, and a fight between good vs evil.

Swan Song is a close second. Instead of a virus it’s nuclear. And where the stand was good vs evil, Swan Song is life vs death. Again you follow different people you’ll love or hate.
I will give this away. I get so sucked in that if it’s good I’m in full emotions. Most of these books gripped my heart and I ugly cried.

You see my trend lol. I am a apocalypse/post-apocalypse reader. I love the fight of humanity if written well.
Blood Crazy is crazy. I started this book on my day off when I finished it was midnight and I forgot the world had existed. This book again is like The Stand and Swan Song but it’s not virus or nuclear. I don’t want to give the shock away.
One day everyone is okay. Some odd things are happening, the next day people over 18 are killing all the kids under 18. For the survivors they have to figure out WTF is happening and survive if they can.

This is a newer book that recently topped my favorites. If you haven’t read Carlton Mellick III he writes Bizarro Fiction. It is bizarre, they can be over sexual, horror, crazyness, just bizarre. But I love reading them and glad I started because I was able to read this book.
This story follows three siblings who live in a nursery. Once a child gets to a certain age the parents are supposed to come get them. But for the oldest this hasn’t happened yet. But things are not going right and the nursery starts falling apart. The kids leave the safety of their room to find their parents. But the problem is the house is the size of a city, and it’s full of dark things.

I just love this epic romance. A young girl is in an orphanage. She is sold to a pervert that thinks her virgin blood will cure his cooties. Anyway she is rescued and the story just gets more crazy from there.

Another new one to my list. Have you watched the movie? Read the book it’s amazing. If you are a kid of the 80s you’ll love this book.

Another new one. It’s an epic story that spands many years. This story follows Amy, who is a special little girl. A vampire outbreak occurs and then it skips 100 years into the future. Our future doesn’t look good, but Amy wants to help survival.
I loved and hated these books. I was frustrated and satisfied. Epic story that is so worth reading. I wish they would have got a second season.

Hello Harry Potter?!? I don’t have to explain. I got book 1 for the little sister before the movie came out. We both read it. And I’ve been in love since.

Another epic story. Every so often I would pause and think how old Ender was at certain parts of the book. He was so little. It broke my heart. But again another epic story you need to read to understand.

Got this from the library in junior high. I love anything about ancient Egypt and strong ladies, and this had both. I recommend you moms to read it, and then have your daughters read it.
