Even before One Direction released their single "Perfect," rumors have been going around that the song was written about Taylor Swift already. Thanks to the leaked lines from the track. So when it finally came out (and we heard the line "if you're looking for someone to write your breakup songs about"), we just had to hear it from Harry Styles himself. What does he have to say about these rumors? In an interview with Smallzy's Surgery, Harreh and Louis Tomlinson answered the burning question and confirmed our suspicions—kind of. Louis said that our own experiences really serve as inspiration "no matter how loose that might be." While Harry said, "It doesn't always have to be an exact story, but I don't think you necessarily change the story. You maybe elaborate a tiny bit, but then not everything's so obvious as 'this is what happened' and 'this is what happened,' you know? You obviously write with lots of different ways and things can be taken in different ways."
