From Our Readers: You Will Break My Heart

You Will Break My Heart

One day, probably in the not so distant future, you will break my heart.

I knew from the start what I was getting myself into. You were clear and you were fair, and for that I am grateful. But I couldn't, for the life of me, resist. And so with shoulders squared and expectations managed, I went straight ahead into the vast gray area of you and me. I continued to shower you with affection and make myself vulnerable to you. I gave you hugs and felt my knees go weak every time you squeezed me hard. I basked in your attention and my heart fluttered each time you openly expressed claim over me. I held out my hand for you to hold and smiled when you don't let go. I marveled at how easy the conversation flows when we're together, like how we can go from nonsense banter to serious life plans and personal issues. I like how you spontaneously put your arm around me when I'm close, how it's become a habit, unconscious and understood, never needing permission or explanation.

A Shy Girl's Guide to Wearing Eyeglasses

Wearing glasses somehow always had a bad reputation attached to it, especially thanks to TV shows or movies depicting girls ''uncool'' or ''geeky'' when they wear glasses, even calling them names like ''four eyes.'' Because of the negative portrayal of people wearing glasses in everyday situtions and pop culture, glasses have received this major bad rep, making anyone want to avoid wearing them at all costs. Thankfully, a lot has changed when it comes to the idea of wearing and sporting specs–it's become a lot cooler and accepted, which is really great because there's nothing wrong with wearing glasses. In fact, it can be pretty awesome! How awesome? Aside from the obvious fact that glasses can make your world seem like HD, we listed down below all the reasons why you should never be shy to wear your own pair of glasses.

5 Things You Missed Today (October 23)

Good news for LizQuen fans out there! Enrique Gil just confirmed that he and Liza Soberano are indeed "exclusive" in their interview with PEP.ph. "Kahit hindi pa kami, basta exclusive. Alam mo yung bawal siya sa iba, bawal rin ako sa iba," he said. The 23-year-old actor also explained that Liza's age—she's 17—is also a factor that's why they can't be official yet and both of them confirmed that the decision of them going exclusive came from both parties. "Kahit hindi pa siya puwede, yung label-label na 'yan, wala naman talagang meaning 'yan para sa akin," Enrique explained. "Basta, alam ko special siya sa akin." Aww, you guys! (via PEP.ph)

Two girls laughing

If there's one person who can be completely honest with you, without a doubt, it's your best friend. Good or bad, you can count on her to tell you nothing but the truth. From Our Readers: To Anyone Who's Been Left Alone

To Anyone Who's Been Left Alone

We all know it sucks to be the one loving too much yet ending up being the one hurt. You've got to give your all yet it isn't enough enough for the other person to stay. You offered everything but they chose to walk away. Your story isn't isolated. There are other people out there experiencing the same thing. After all, we are players in the same game, combatting only with different monsters. You thought love suffices your relationship yet a day after a perfect movie date, they'll leave you all of a sudden, without explanations, which, to put it simply, sucks. They'll just vanish into thin air, and you'll be left hanging. Next thing you know, your whole life is ruined.

What Happens When a Lead Star Leaves the TV Show?

Nina Dobrev as Elena Gilbert

People always leave, One Tree Hill's angsty Peyton Sawyer once said, but what happens when said people carry the weight of a TV show on their shoulders? When a lead actor or actress leaves, the show must go on, but things will never be the same again. Just look at what happened to OTH when Peyton and Lucas left town and lived happily ever after. Here are a few more examples of the show continuing despite the lead star leaving for good or just temporarily.

What Really Happens When You Watch Your Ex Love Again on Social Media

Although the existence of social media made a lot of things easier (like connecting with your family and friends miles away or keeping yourself updated on what's going on around you), it has also made a few things harder for all of us. For example, moving on from your past love or a relationship that didn't work out. We can unfriend or block our exes, but you can still see a little chunk of their lives when your common friends post updates and they're there. The truth is, moving on and letting go is twice as hard now that everyone is connected in some way.

From Our Readers: You'll Always Be My Favorite What If

You'll Always Be My Favorite What If

I remember the time our eyes met. I knew it wasn't the first because we've sometimes crossed paths in the hallway of our school. But that night seemed to be different. Maybe it's because I finally see you up close. It was a friend's birthday and we were both invited. I don't know if you noticed how I'd always sneak a glance at you. Your eyes, your smile, and even the way you treated others caught my attention and I instantly saw my ideal guy in you. You brought to life that character in movies and books I always dreamed to have. But that night passed and we didn't even dare talk to each other, only secret glimpses and exchanged smiles that made me want to know you more.
