Here are some of the things they shared with us.

5 Things You Missed Today (November 9)

One of your favorite young actresses was announced to play Little Mermaid in the motion picture adaptation by Universal Studios and Working Title—Chloe Grace Moretz. Reports are reminding us though that the adaptation will be of Hans Christian Andersen's darker story which has a sadder ending. Sophia Coppola has been tapped first to direct The Little Mermaid, but she left because of "creative differences." (via Collider.com)

From Our Readers: Why I Keep Running Away From You

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder on The Vampire Diaries

I know it's not right to run from your fears. Everyone says it's better to face them once and for all, than to keep running away for the rest of your life. I've known this for as long as I can remember, yet when I met you, I couldn't help but run away.

You weren't actually the one that scared me though. I was more afraid of the things that were happening to me when I was around you. You had this incredible effect on me that no one else has ever had. A single smile from you could make my mind go completely blank and for once in my life, I couldn't care less.

10 Things Only Those Who Wore Braces Would Understand

(SPOT.ph) When your dentist said you needed braces on your teeth, it was a relief to finally get your pearly whites fixed. It will be okay, he said. Until you started wasting away due to your inability to eat absolutely anything that requires chewing. You probably had to endure it for a year or four, if your're unlucky. But it was a necessary—not to mention awkward—part of your childhood (or adulthood for late bloomers). Aren't you glad you can smile about it now?

All the Open Letters You'd Want To Send Your Ex

It is ironic that in a time when communication is made easier—you can connect with someone in just one click—we still have so much left unsaid for the person who left us hanging, for that guy who didn't give us a chance, for the one that got away, for the person we didn't end up with, for your ex (which could be an ex-boyfriend or just an ex-something).

Letters

10 Times Toy Story Perfectly Captured What You’re Feeling

Toy Story is turning 20 this month—it's insane, we know!—and up to this day, it's one of our favorite movies of all time. It's actually interesting to watch the whole trilogy now that we're a bit older because you notice little jokes and references you missed as a kid. You realize that these toys get what you're feeling, whether you're seething with rage, so nervous you can't function, or happier than when you found out there was going to be a unicorn emoji. See what we mean below!

1  When you're worrying about whether or not you should ask your crush to grab a super chill, no-strings-attached cup of coffee with you.

From Our Readers: There's No Us, But There's You and Me

Couple

Earlier tonight I had dinner with a friend. It was casual and I don't really know how we ended up talking about you but we did.

How we met. How the friendship grew. How we became best friends. How I fell in love with you. How hurt I was when I realized that "we" could not be. How everything else changed - for the better - after that.

Thank you. For not taking the risk. For not trying "us". Though you were the one who fell first, you were able to carry it out in such a way that I never had any idea. Thank you for not pursuing me because you wanted me to grow and you never wanted yourself to be a hindrance for such to happen.
