Style Files: Julia Gatus

photo

Name: Julia Gatus
Age: 19
City: Marikina City
School: University of Santo Tomas

My style. I actually dress depending on my mood. Sometimes I'm all girly with a skirt and tank top look. Some days I wear my t-shirt and shorts . It's kind of random but I always dress according to my mood, as well as sport looks that also expresses my personality.
Shopping faves. I love shopping at Forever 21 and H&M!
Style icon. There are a lot of style icons I look up to but I love Kryz Uy the most!
Style influence. Being exposed to fashion bloggers influenced me to play dress up in real life. I love how they match their outfits and how they confidently wear all their looks!
Closet. My closet is made up of black, white, or pastel-colored pieces.
Fave accessory. I love necklaces–especially the dainty ones! I actually have a collection of necklaces. I sometimes layer 2 to 3 pieces to add oomph to my outfit.
Never wearing. Leggings for me are a no-no.
Trend return. Denim skirts! I have actually seen some bloggers wear them and I believe it will make a come back sooner or later.
Best bardain. A plain tank top! It's every girls closet'must-have. It basically matches all your bottoms.
Vintage love. There's this old necklace my mom gave when I was 7. I still keep it up to now and it has been with me for 12 years.

From Our Reader: To the Guy Whose Heart I Broke

Joseph Gordon Levitt in (500) Days of Summer

I have a lot of things to say to you. I don't even know where to begin. But let me tell you first how I felt when I first met you. I know I never told you this but, the first time I saw you, my heart jumped. You see, you made the world stop when I first met you. Even though you ignored me before, I still found you great. Later, I found myself hating your jokes but when we started talking, I thought you were different. You're family oriented, you're hard working and most importantly, you understand. Since then, I never thought of anybody else but you. You brought me sunshine, you brought me life. And I'm thankful I'm with you or been with you for a long time... I guess. For now.

11 of the Best Beauty Brands For Sensitive Skin

With the massive amount of beauty products available, finding your HG, or holy grail, can be daunting, doubly so if you have sensitive skin. How do you navigate through all the listed ingredients to find out which ones won't make you break out, red, or itchy?

Thankfully, these brands have dedicated themselves to developing products made specifically for those with sensitive skin. If your skin is very choosy, start with these. While most of these brands have been recommended by dermatologists at one point or another, it's still important for you to have your skin checked and tested by a dermatologist to pinpoint what you are allergic to (some even react to the fluoride in toothpaste! Try to switch to a non-fluoride one if you have breakouts around your chin and mouth).

From Our Readers: I Was 16 When I Met You

Couple looking lonely

I was only sixteen when I met you. I remember how much I liked you back then. I remember the songs and mixed CDs I gave you. I remember sneaking out to see you. I remember every sweetest thing we did. From the clandestine kisses to the intimate hugs and hand holding. I remember how you'd clench your jaw whenever I talk about other guys. I remember that glimmer in your eyes the first you heard me sing the song I wrote for you.
