Hi everyone! I have a couple of great asks in my inbox, but it turns out I’m going to be spending the day at my parents’ house to keep an eye on my sister’s sick pup. Tumblr is a nightmare to use on my tiny netbook, so I’ll either get to those asks tonight or (more likely) tomorrow morning. Hope everyone has an awesome day! :-)

Hey Cordelia! Just dropping by to mention that I’m enjoying the Q/A with Dom and Levi tremendously! I actually typed a question and stopped before sending thinking: they may not be comfortable answering this... maaaaaybe I’m taking it a bit too seriously!
Thank you so much! I’m really happy you enjoyed it, although you certainly could have asked your question - there’s little I wouldn’t have been willing to answer. ;-)
I had a ton of fun doing the Q&A, and it was amazing how creative and thoughtful everyone was with their questions. Just an all-around fantastic experience!

As someone who read your Blood Red novel more times than they can count, I was wondering if you had any fantasy novel planned in the near future XOXO
I don’t have any concrete plans at the moment, but there’s a good chance I’ll write fantasy again someday. I’ll probably always gravitate towards writing suspense/thriller titles (although not necessarily mysteries), so it’s most likely that I’d write suspense incorporating elements of the fantasy genre, as opposed to pure fantasy.
Character Q&A
If you could ask Levi and Dominic anything, what would you want to know? Now’s your chance to have your questions answered! The official Character Q&A with Levi and Dominic is happening for the next 24 hours on Patreon. You ask - they answer!

Sunday Update
I came this close to finishing the rough draft of A Chip and a Chair this week, but I didn’t quite make it - mostly because I took all of Saturday off to spend time with family. I would be planning to finish tomorrow, but Tuesday is more realistic, because…
Tomorrow is the Patreon Q&A with Levi and Dominic! I’ll be doing this in an AMA-style format, with patrons asking their questions via comments on a dedicated post. If you’re interested in chatting with Levi and Dominic, or you have any burning questions you want to ask them, check out my Patreon community!
Regardless, I should have CAAC finished within the next couple of days. I plan to let it rest for two more days after that (during which time I’ll focus on prepping the October 20th update of the Assistant ‘Verse), and then I’ll dive into the revision process. My ultimate goal is to submit a polished first draft to Riptide before the end of October.
Have a great week, everyone!

Patreon Revamp
The overhaul of my Patreon community is complete! New and improved features include:
A tier system with additional content, benefits, and rewardsAn updated introductory section with a breakdown of current Patreon projects, as well as links to read the first installment of each project for free
A chapter masterlist that will make tracking and navigating the various stories much easier
Included in the tier system are two new monthly benefits: a bonus feature ($5+) that will vary from month to month, and Cordelia’s Workshop ($10+), in which I’ll break down the nuts and bolts of a particular aspect of the writing process, using my works as illustration.
For the month of October:
The bonus feature is a Q&A with Levi and Dominic! Right now, I’m leaning towards doing this in an AMA-style format. (October 15)The topic for Cordelia’s Workshop is how to plot a novel using a three-act structure, illustrated step-by-step with Kill Game as an example. (October 25)
Interested in joining the fun? We’d love to have you!

Sunday Update
I met two goals this week - I finished the rough draft of A Chip and a Chair through the climactic chapter, and finished the Assistant ‘Verse: Prague installment in time for the October 5 Patreon update. So far so good!
I’m now about halfway through CAAC’s penultimate chapter, with the remaining scenes sequenced in comprehensive detail. Everything’s flowing quite smoothly, I’m happy to say. Trying to finish the rough draft as a whole by next weekend is probably a little too ambitious, but I’m going to get as close as I can.
I also finished putting together the Patreon masterlist. (I’ve been dragging my heels on that because it was so tedious, LOL.) Tomorrow, I’m planning to debut my new Patreon tier system, add the masterlist, and spruce up the intro post as well - basically, get everything organized and more professional.
Sending good vibes to everyone for the week ahead! <3
Not the same anon but about the audiobooks - out of curiosity do they have to ask you to make them like if you want them read aloud? And have you heard the audio version? The narrator did an amazing job doing your story justice it was a joy to hear. Was sc
My publisher doesn’t need to ask my permission to make audiobooks, because the audio subrights are part of my contract with them. Although of course having that in the contract is giving them permission! But it’s more like a, “You can do this if you decide to down the road” kind of thing.
I did listen to the Kill Game narrator’s audition and gave my stamp of approval! He’s very talented, and we’ve gotten a lot of great feedback, which is awesome. But besides that audition clip, I haven’t listened to the audiobook (or the one of Can’t Hide From Me, for that matter). While I love that audiobooks exist, I don’t personally enjoy them, and listening to someone read my stuff out loud makes me feel extra awkward and self-conscious! LOL.
I loved the audiobook of the first SoS book. Will the others be made into audiobooks too? I just have issues and the audio reading makes them very accessible to me.
I’m glad you enjoyed it, thank you! If you’d feel comfortable doing so, I’d encourage you to share this question with Riptide directly. I don’t have any say over if or when audiobooks are made, but I’m sure Riptide is receptive to reader interest.
I don’t have much to say except that you are amazing and your writing is amazing! I’ve thought that as I read your books sporadically throughout the years. I don’t know how I managed to not read the SoS series until now? But I’m glad because 1) happy yay-I
That’s awesome, thank you so much! I’m thrilled you found me again, and I hope you enjoy the things I have in store. :D
