My publisher doesn’t need to ask my permission to make audiobooks, because the audio subrights are part of my contract with them. Although of course having that in the contract is giving them permission! But it’s more like a, “You can do this if you decide to down the road” kind of thing.

I did listen to the Kill Game narrator’s audition and gave my stamp of approval! He’s very talented, and we’ve gotten a lot of great feedback, which is awesome. But besides that audition clip, I haven’t listened to the audiobook (or the one of Can’t Hide From Me, for that matter). While I love that audiobooks exist, I don’t personally enjoy them, and listening to someone read my stuff out loud makes me feel extra awkward and self-conscious! LOL.
