I love reading. My favorite memory is of the neighborhood library in Detroit. I would walk by myself, excited about the books and worlds I would immerse myself in. I would sit in the soft leather chair with the puffy arms and let the sun warm my arms oblivious to any sounds around me as I imagined myself in the crazy, exhilarating, scary, tearful worlds of the characters. And by being conscious that I am doing that, a writer's block is a way of not doing what I say I enjoy. So for people with a writer's block, set a goal and the big one is "follow through". Negative review

I just read a negative review for my first book. And actually I appreciate it. I don't know every person who wrote positive ones and I don't know the person who wrote the negative one. But all the reviews, positive and negative, urge me to write the best book I possible can at the time of the writing. I will only become better with each book. And with each book, I do think about how I could have m Read more of this blog post »

Lover Arisen by J.R. Ward
“It was vital that mortals did not know the truth of time. If they did… they could jump into the stories of others and influence things they were not supposed to—and like a third party editing something that had already been published, that was a mess the original author did not care for.”

Dean Koontz
“Less attention was given to the fact that, in depressing and perilous times, legions relied on communal consumption of alcohol to provide a sense of well-being and confidence in the future that, false as it was, made them easier targets when they ventured homeward through a world in which the predators were either sober or, worse, wired on drugs that made them hyperalert to which were the most vulnerable animals in the herd.”
