Honestly, don't give up on your dream. We have all had someone tell us we can't write. But remember, we all went to Kindergarten and learned the same ABCs, grammar, sentence structure, etc. So how can someone tell you your imagination isn't good enough or your stories aren't ones to be told. Tell your stories. The audience who likes what you write will follow you.

Sometimes, it comes from dreams I have. I wake up so eager to get pen to paper that I start doing so even before I wash my face or brush my teeth. And other times, the characters are talking so loud in my head, I have to write it down.

I am trying to remember that I control if and how I have a writer's block. I mean, I procrastinate. And by being conscious that I am doing that, a writer's block is a way of not doing what I say I enjoy. So for people with a writer's block, set a goal and the big one is "follow through". I currently write 3 pages a day, anything to get me started. Then I move onto my current project. I don't feel blocked because I am already moving my hand across the paper.

I have 160 pages completed of "The Coven" and am currently dong a re-read. I have 2 other WIP.
