Discipline Absolute

I just finished the first draft. I'll work on editing later today, and start the next book tomorrow, splitting my time for a bit between writing and editing.
It's a bit different!

I hope to have it ready for the first edits (from other people) in about two days or so. Maybe three.

Yay!

The Toughest Part of Writing: The Secret Revealed!

When you have an incredibly lazy day.

That's it. The hardest part. Everything else just takes learning, practice and a bit of imagination. That part though, is really hard.

All the juice!

I was thinking earlier, about social movements and how the government seems to promote them from within, in order to remove and social cache they might have. Sabotage is a common tactic. So much so that most of the "negative" things you hear about coming from modern protests and action groups tends to be stirred up by one or more agencies, instead of the people involved.

A contact of mine actually fell pray to that a few years ago, and was talking about that kind of thing earlier. It makes for an interesting topic!

*On fasting. Being day three, I can't help but recall how much I enjoy eating. Sigh. [image error]

Then, there are no real rules here, so I can call it then if I wish. It isn't like not eating for forty days would get the attention of anyone for a fictional book anyway. (Now a book on fasting, OR a political issue... It might well work for that!) Still, regardless of anything else, I'm...

Fasting, the New Hope...

All right, I'm beginning a new fast, that is planned to be a long one, but we all know how that kind of thing goes!

The basic (starter) plan is to ge to over forty days without taking in any food. At that point I might add in a non-caloric mineral and vitamin drink, though scurvy isn't a big fear while fasting.

This is a gimmick (though a real one, as in I'm actually doing it) to go along with the new book series. Plus it's great for knocking out systemic inflammation and lowering blood pressure. [image error]

*On a different note, I will be making an effort to post here every day. Even on weekends. Though, if I get away for vacation, you're all out of luck! I might also start doing video (or audio, really) updates on things, and start a P.S. Power channel on Youtube. There might be room in my life for some fun stuff that would work there.

Happy New Year everybody! I'm planning on this one being the best...

Working on the new series: Discipline

Discipline: Absolute

I know, this is like the fourth time that I've taken a crack at this, but it's really clicking and coming together now. A very different story than it was before! (Still with the main elements however, of course.)

My hope is to have at least the first book ready inside a month, and as a bonus, I'm working to have all three books out at the same time, inside that time frame. (They may be spread out with a week or two between them however.)

My goal is to make 2016 the best story year ever. Not just for my work, but for all time! (Which is asking a lot, but the point is, I'm working to really make it good, if I can!)

Also, I want to try and get into the forum every day from now on, more or less. So feel free to come here to chat and ask questions! Or give orders, make unreasonable demands, discuss how my political view of the world is deficient or what have you. [image error]

Thanks everyone!...

Latest update! December 1rst 2015

Hi all!

I just now finished the rough draft on Light Bringer (Book two of Young Ancients Second Cycle) This is the continuation of the Dareg storyline. Things are getting hot for young Dare as the world he thought he knew shifts under his feet.

I'll try to get back to more regular updates here!

I should have the book through the first edits in five or six days, though the plan is to bring this out right before Christmas, so that people can see it on the 26th when they go to use their gift cards.

*Everything else will be marked down to .99 cents during that time. So if you missed something, it's a great time to pick it up!

Other than that, I've been fasting off and on, working on setting up a new exercise regime and making videos... As well as coming up with new story ideas! (I always do that though. And notice setting up a new exercise program, not doing it? How lame is that?)

Stuff I'm working on now....

Oh, the things I get up to when no one is looking...

I have a big chunk of the new Young Ancients finished, and it should be out by Christmas! (Or slightly before...)

I've been doing some little audio stories on youtube as well. [image error] Here's one of them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95M8CNbcQQA There is a new one coming out tomorrow or the next day...

They're just a fun little project. (That everyone wants to know about. You know it.) [image error]

I'm doing a bit better, health wise. (It was just a bad cold with some congestion, in the end...)

That, and helping to build some new windows is about where I'm at for this moment. (At least on things that I'm going to share!)

Whiiiine. :)

Okay, not really, but I seem to be coming down with pneumonia. Hopefully it was figured out in time. I'll keep people updated.

Breathing is less than fun right now.

I do so love being able to do that. The whole in and out of air thing... It's my favorite!

Latest Book Finished (Rough Draft) Other Things Afoot.

I finished Shield of Innocence, the first draft, just about ten minutes ago.

I'm going to start hard into the Discipline trilogy, since it crosses over in part in Shield. On the good side I have that mapped out, in my head, so I should be able to get that out in about a month or two. My plan right now, is to start that tomorrow and try to write a book every ten days, while editing things as they finish.

Can it be done? Probably. Should it be done? Well, so far I like the story idea, and I also like the trilogy releases coming at one time. This one is more sci-fi, and takes place in the future of a world similar to our own, if it goes down a specific path. It follows one man, trying to fix what has gone very, very wrong.

I've been working with the eeg stuff and making some progress. Still, no new super powers.

Also doing intermittent fasting, and trying to add in a very vegetable and fruit heavy...

Brainwaves: Delta in Waking Consciousness

In EEG (Electroencephalogram) readings, adult human beings rarely show Delta brainwaves while awake. When they do these signals are always mixed with faster patterns. Atypical delta signals (say those brainwaves coming from only one portion of the brain , counter to the rest of it) are often a sign of something being biologically wrong with the person.
Babies and young children do show some such patterns, but they fade over time.

By the time a person is in their late forties or fifties, it can be difficult to find delta brainwaves even in the deepest periods of sleep. Which is one reason that it can be hard for older people to ever have refreshing rest.

Some adults can show this kind of activity. They tend to be fairly advanced meditations, yogis, and people who are prone to high levels of intuition, empathy, and connection with their subconscious minds.

Why am I going on about this stuff? Mainly because I recently got an EEG (Epoc+,...
