Excellent medical thriller!

Jan Romes is the author of witty contemporary romance books and a part-time fitness trainer. She also enjoys growing pumpkins and sunflowers. I am thrilled to find her review of my medical suspense thriller, Overdose:

Jan Romes 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent medical thriller!September 27, 2019
Format: Kindle EditionVerified Purchase I read the first two books in the series and enjoyed the characters and suspense. When the author came out with this book, I had to see what else she had in store for Ashley and Michael - the 2 main characters. Ms. Poznansky didn't disappoint. In this fast-paced medical thriller, she put Ashley together with the surgeon that helped her when she was in a coma in book one. Things felt off where the doctor is concerned, although Ashley wasn't sure why she felt that way and had to find out. She did some investigating, and shared her suspicions with Michael. She asked for more than moral support from him; she asked for some high-tech favors. Danger lurked around every corner when she came close to figuring things out. I tried to guess the ending, thank goodness I was wrong.

Exciting! Brilliantly narrated thriller Overall  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️    5 out of 5 starsPerformance  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️    5 out of 5 starsStory  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️    5 out of 5 starsReviewed: 09-23-19Heather Jane Hogan delivers depth and surprise to this already thrilling story. What a delight to hear her tell the story of Ash, who’s been out of her coma for a few months when headaches and dizziness require her to pay another visit to her brain surgeon, a mysterious man named Dr. Patel. Ms. Hogan, amazingly, does all the voices in this medical thriller, including Ash, the doctor, a waitress, and Ash’s boyfriend Michael, who is a computer genius and daring investigator. Ash and Michael suspect Patel of wrongdoing and decide to investigate him – which involves going into dangerous territory as Ash agrees to dine with him and attempt to question him. At the end of this “date,” something very alarming happens, and from that point we’re really off into high suspense. Together, Michael and Ash uncover the truth about the menacing and quite creepy Patel, whose history includes a 10-years-ago mysterious medical mission to India, and the recent suicide of his wife. This marvelous tale is brought wonderfully to life by Ms. Hogan, who delivers the final, terrific twist with a bang. Highly recommended, five stars!

Join an inspiring conversation

I've just had an inspiring on-air conversation with host and fellow author Dellani Oakes and with historical fiction writer Mark Richard Beaulieu, who is an expert on the 12th-century life of Eleanor of Aquitaine.

Take a listen:

One of my favorite authors!

A Great review by Vine Voice reviewer Piaras for my medical thriller Overdose:

PiarasVINE VOICE 5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favorite authors!September 18, 2019
Format: Kindle EditionVerified Purchase Uvi Poznansky is a USA TODAY bestselling, award-winning author, poet and artist. OVERDOSE is book 3 in the Ash Suspense Thrillers with a Dash of Romance. Not surprisingly, Poznansky weaves another fantastic medical thriller with intriguing twists and turns that will easily captivate the reader’s attention from the opening page. The author paints a gripping story in a very vivid and convincing way. In addition, the characters are drawn with great credibility and integrity.

The book description gives a sneak preview: ‘Months after recovering from coma, Ash discovers that the man who performed her brain surgery has a questionable medical experience and a dark past, starting with his medical mission in India ten years ago and ending just recently, with his wife’s suicide. Should Ash expose him, at the risk of becoming vulnerable to his revenge?

In an attempt to learn more, Ash goes on a date with him. When the waitress drops a pink cellphone into her hand, she is hit by a bullet. On the cellphone are his wife’s last words. “Perhaps you have the urge to shut me off, or at least to ignore what I’m about to say. But listen you must, because even if you don’t believe it, you’re already much too close to danger… Neil is my undoing. Make sure he isn’t yours.”

Now, if that’s not enough to get your curiosity juices flowing, I don’t know what will. But if you want to find out what happens, you’ll just have to turn the pages for yourself! However, I will say it was well worth the read. I’ve read this author several times and I must say I was very impressed yet again. She delivers every time.

I enjoyed the story, character development, and dialogue. There were plenty of plot twists that I didn’t see coming and that added to the book’s mystique. When I stopped reading to work, I found myself wondering what happened in the book, and replaying parts of the novel in my head to see if I could figure more out. It has been a while since I enjoyed a book this much. It’s a first-class thriller with perfect pacing. Not much is as it appears here, which is just the way fans of mystery, thriller and suspense will want it!

This was a fascinating and captivating read that had me immersed from the beginning. The story flowed from scene to scene with ease, and as always, the author shows exceptional ability when it comes to storytelling. There are plenty of attention-grabbing moments in this page turner that will take the reader on a truly mesmerizing journey!

I’ll be looking forward to reading more from this author in the future. Highly recommended and a well-deserved five stars from me.
