What happened there?

Official CoverFinishingWitness to the Moonthis week.

I am entirely surprised by a scene that took place today. I kept asking myself while I wrote the past few days, how on earth a strong Lycaen like Alex could find himself overpowered. How could a man like Alex ever be taken by anyone? And then . . . bam. Oh. That’s how.

I hadn’t thought about it, hadn’t considered, hadn’t even comecloseto registering in my head. Then while I was writing, I learned just how a man like Alex could find himself weakened. Oh t...

On the finish line

Official CoverWorking onWitness to the Moonthis week. I’ll definitely finish this book by the end of this week and then like I mentioned on Friday, I will start in on the Anora – Druid story. My extent of outlining for that story so far has been to play with questions like,What is her biggest challenge? What does she want, and what stands in herway of getting it?

Not much in other words. I’ve been reading up on Druids to get a good handle on what specifics I may not know, but want to include, and what sort...

Didn’t see that coming

Official CoverWorking onWitness to the Moonthis week.

Since I’m going to work on this for another week, I may just keep going with this one, rather than start the Anora – Druid story that I wanted to. I’m thinking that I will try that out for a change. Work on one novel exclusivelyuntil it’s done.

My biggest concern that I always think about with writing one exclusive novel is the boredom. As much as I love to write novels, if I don’t constantly switch what I’m working on (probably why I can work on a ton...

Reaching new heights in this Universe

Official CoverWorking onWitness to the Moonthis week.I’m definitely gonna be working on this for another week. There are places I need to go that I won’t reach tomorrow.

New information is being learned in the story right now and I’m working through the character’s thoughts and reactions on said information.

Not sure if you’d be interested in checking it out, but Dean Welsey Smith (who inspired this chronicling of the writing and such every day) is doing a blog series right now on how to write a novel in...

My Pet Peeve: Make-up Abuse

I consider myself to be a fairly tolerant and laid back person. I try not to let a lot of stuff REALLY bother me because quite frankly, life is too short to let the little stuff stress you out….cause there is always a TON of the big stuff around that will do the job just fine! But I’m human and sometimes some little thing will just piss me off and cheese my Cheetos. And one thing in particular that does is…..MAKE-UP ABUSE!

Now, you may be asking yourself just what I mean by “make-up abuse”. W...

Surprise, surprise.

Official Cover

Working onWitness to the Moonthis week. May end up being the final week I do, but I may have to do another week. Some amazing words today. The story flew. I went into that zone that the words just purged.

So today I learned some interesting information. I had not planned for it either. Never once considered aninklingof it happening. I’m referring toWitness to the Moon and writing, obviously, haha. I’m happy though! It’s so much fun to write in this Universe. There is no telling where it will...

Zombie walking #amwriting

Official CoverWorking onWitness to the Moonthis week. May end up being the final week I do, but I may have to do another week.

I did have something I wanted to write and chat aboutbut things came up, and I’m completely exhausted because lots of sleep interruptions happened last night. So my brain is wonked and I am too. I’ll write tomorrow. I’m glad that I was able to get words written today, even as many as I did.

Have you checked outthe free preview ofBlood By Night?

Back to Mila today

Official Cover

Got more words than I thought I would. Mostly because being a Monday and the first day I’ve written in this story for over a week, (I think it’s been almost 9 days) I didn’t think I’d get many. That means that I had to go back in the story by one full chapter and read it all over again. I didn’t remember where I left off at all. Not even kidding about that.

When I started to read the story again I knew where I left off and then reading my notes told me where I was headed, but when I first ope...

Completed! [dances] #amwriting

Royal Blood - Book Two - Kennedy

Working onSylphline Realm – Royal Bloodthis week.

Finished the book!

My goal wasaround 90K words for this book, but as usual the writing of it was far different than what I thought it would be. In edits I add a lot of new scenes and information, as well as details. Details are scare when I write. Some writers overwrite and then have to cut. I am the opposite. I underwrite.

Typically in deep edits I will rework chapters and scenes to the point that the book that I start with is a completely dif...
