DAY ONE of the TAKE ME TO TEXAS BLOG TOUR
I spent last week meeting with book bloggers at bookstores all across Texas. My first stop was Dallas where I met with Kari Olson at Barnes & Noble. She signed my blogger boots and I signed the chucks she won from Heidi Kling, author of the amazing debut novel, SEA.

Take Me to the Twig
Tuesday, July 20th, was the release date of TAKE ME THERE. I celebrated by visiting with Claudia Maceo Sharp of the Twig, a beautiful independent bookstore situated on the San Antonio River Walk. As usual, I got a little lost. Google maps said it was a short walk... 4 minutes. Or maybe it was four miles because it turned out to be on the far end of the River Walk and I had to hire a river taxi to take me there. This is the first time I've ever had to wave down a boat to get to a bookstore.

Eclipse at Studio Movie Grill

Tommye and I went to see Eclipse at Studio Movie Grill in Dallas this weekend. I love this place! Where else could you order a burger or a pizza or a salad and watch a vampire movie. I'm still on Team Jacob!
The book blog tour is going great. We're in San Antonio right now, staying with friends. The kids will spend the day at Six Flags/ Fiesta Texas tomorrow while I visit bookstores.

First Stop - Barnes & Noble/ Dallas
When you hear that evil voice that tells you to go in the wrong direction, it could be your wicked alter ego... or...

Happy 18!
My son celebrated his 18th birthday this week. It's hard to believe his childhood has gone by so quickly. It reminds me of how precious life is and how important it is to relish the moments we have together. Celebrating a milestone like this also causes me to realize that my children aren't really "mine." They are gifts entrusted to my care, provided by a benevolent Creator.
