DAY SIX of the TAKE ME TO TEXAS BLOG TOUR - at the Blue Willow in Houston, Tx
The kids and I had such a great time traveling through Texas. They went to Six Flags in San Antonio and Schlitterbahn Water Park in New Braunfels, then later in the week we drove up to Houston where I got to see my old college roommate, Rhonda. Not sure where we'll use a boogie board in the deserts of New Mexico, but I wasn't about to leave it behind once I...

DAY THREE of the TAKE ME TO TEXAS BLOG TOUR in Austin, Texas
I met with Katie Bartow in my old stomping ground - Austin, TX. My husband and I lived there for a couple of years when we got out of college. My favorite barbecue dive - the Ironworks, is still there. In fact, I risked rush hour traffic to stop by and purchase some barbecue rub for giveaways.

See the interview with Katie Bartow of Mundie Moms below:

This past week I had the privilege of meeting Take Me There author, Carolee Dean. She was on a blog tour meeting various bloggers through out...

Take Me to the Twig
Tuesday, July 20th, was the release date of TAKE ME THERE. I celebrated by visiting with Claudia Maceo Sharp of the Twig, a beautiful independent bookstore situated on the San Antonio River Walk. As usual, I got a little lost. Google maps said it was a short walk... 4 minutes. Or maybe it was four miles because it turned out to be on the far end of the River Walk and I had to hire a river taxi to take me there. This is the first time I've ever had to wave down a boat to get to a bookstore.
