The Dark Path ~ A Poem

384194_6837465_lz

I do not own the picture, I found it on google. I think it’s beautiful and matches the mood, tone, and words of the poem.

The path I tread,

A familiar step.

A slow slide.

Lonely and dark.

A pretty puzzle.

The mask is back,

An intimate slip of lace,

The caress of a buried enemy returns.

And blocks the sunlight.

The facade cultivated over time

Will haunt me forever.

A WIP Tease ~ No title yet

I’ve many work in progresses, like most authors tend to have. Some I will publish, others are for my own piece of mind. A few are fragments that I hope to develop. This is one of the latter. Meet Amelia and Chase. Family obligations tore them apart, and now they are hoping to see if what they had together can be rekindled.

I hope it can.

Sexy Snippets Sunday (3)

Every Sunday a few awesome authors get together and post seven sentences from something they wrote. A Work in Progress, a published story, etc. You can find The Nuthouse Scribblers at their blog – I’m pretty sure I crashed their party… Woops, my bad y’all. I seem to have a habit of crashing flash fiction groups and Snippety groups.

So, without further ado, Here are my seven sentences for the week…

Table for Two – Excerpt (Hot Lunch #3)

Yes, I know. This story should be completed and published by now. I have no excuse, other than to say life has been crazy, and Ryan and Samantha refuse to talk to me. To make you happier, here is a short excerpt from Table for Two (Hot Lunch #3) to apologize for the long delay.

This is UNEDITED and RAW.

Table for Two by Author ER Pierce
