La belleza

Pienso en la belleza y la muerte. En esta época tan extraña y díficil de comprender, en medio de este miedo invisible, del sufrimiento. Me pregunto cuán poderosa puede llegar a ser la belleza. Por ejemplo, la de este templo de Diana, en Mérida, que sobrevive y se erige en mitad del caos. De la misma forma que sobrevive nuestro pequeño príncipe luchando contra nosotros mismos y las imposiciones de la edad. Puedo ver esta belleza en un mundo de guerra y fuego, en las flores del desierto, incluso en la tristeza. Una belleza que me sobrecoge y me deja sin palabras. Buenas noches, lectores.
Tonight, I was thinking about the beauty and death. In these times so strange and so difficult to understand, in the middle of an invisible fear and of suffering, I wonder how powerful the beauty can be. The beauty of this temple of Diana, in Mérida, for example, which survives in our chaos in the same way that inside of us our little Prince can survives fighting against ourselves and the impositions of age. I can see this beauty in this world of war and fire, in a flower in the desert, a kind of invisible beauty even in sadness. A beauty that overwhelms me and leaves me without words.

Recordando un abrazo

En la Feria del Libro de Madrid. Será este el primer año que no podré realizar este sencillo gesto de abrazar a una lectora. Veo esta fotografía y pienso en esta extraña película que nos está tocando vivir. Estoy muy agradecida a los libros que me permiten viajar y seguir soñando desde mi habitación.

Madrid Book Fair. This year will be the first one in which a virus wont't let me do this simple gesture of hugging a young reader. We'll have to learn to huge just with the eyes. I see this pic and I think about this strange situation we're living. I'm very grateful to the books (reading and writing) that allow me to travel and dream from my own room.

Con Óscar Wilde, en Dublín

Hace algunos años, visité a mi hermana en Dublín durante el verano. Recuerdo que, caminando por una calle, encontré una agencia inmobiliaria donde se vendía un castillo. Tomé una fotografía porque me resultó curioso. Sin pretenderlo, surgió la idea original para el tercer libro de Erik Vogler: La Maldición de Misty Abbey-Castle, que se desarrolla en Irlanda. 
En la imagen, con uno de mis autores favoritos: Óscar Wilde.

Years ago, I went to Dublin to visit my daugther. It was summer time. Walking in the street, I saw a real-estate agency that sold a castle. It was the original idea for the third book of Erik Vogler, THE CURSE OF MISTY ABBEY-CASTLE, which takes place in Ireland. 
In the photo, I'm with one of my favorite authors: Óscar Wilde.

I'm still writing the first novel of Albert Zimmer (it's the second part of the saga of Erik Vogler with the same main characters: Albert, Berta, Erik and Cloé). The story unfolds in Berchtesgaden, in Baviera (Alemania). Page 135. Lots of humor and action. I hope you'll enjoy. 
The photo is from Navarra, in the north of Spain. My surname and my paternal family come from this place.
