Error Update – Angry Gods
Dear Readers,
As you may know, although preorders are live for my 2024 book, Angry Gods, on Apple, GooglePlay, Kobo and Nook… things were a bit of a shit show on Amazon. My heartfelt apologies for the mix up 
Did you get a placeholder? Let me know!
To offer pre-orders, some retailers/distributors require that I send them a placeholder copy of my book. In the case of Angry Gods, some folks received the Amazon placeholder as the real deal. Most folks were able to return the purchase. If you weren’t able to do so, please email me at cbauer (at) monsterhousebooks.com. I’ll make sure you get the book when it launches. And sincere thanks to everyone who has reached out to say they appreciate my efforts in both writing books and wrangling distribution. This is the indie life, and your support makes it possible for me to be a unique loudmouth in a world that’s becoming more artificially homogenized, if you know what I mean.
A Look Behind the Scenes
As context, please know that I’m playing around with different ways to set up preorders so things move more smoothly. I feel like I have solidified a better system on other retailers, including my one-time nemesis, Googleplay. Amazon is still tricky, but I should have a new option for pre-orders by the time my book, Reaper Games, goes live next month.

Angry Gods Error
Dear Readers,
I am incredibly sorry to report that some of you may have received a placeholder copy of Angry Gods from Amazon as a “book.” The release date is actually 2024, which means that it should go live after next month’s book, Reaper Games. The date was/is correct in the distributor’s system, but that didn’t flow through to Amazon for some reason. I have a priority ticket through my distributor to find out what’s happening and how we can make this right. I could blame the disti but it’s also my responsibility to double-check their work. Going forward, I’ll make sure to do that.
