A TREE OF SECRETS

New Sighting! One of my secret correspondents just sent me this picture of a mysterious book-bearing tree. She (or he) did not tell me where the tree was. Nor was there any kind of explanation about its origins. We can only speculate about the mad arborist who grafted these books onto that innocent sapling! I hope for our all our sakes that this tree is nowhere where its secrets can be easily picked. I shudder to think what would happen if those bookish fruits fell into the wrong hands...

OH, HORRORS!

Uh oh... In an extremely reckless moment, I agreed to contribute a story to a book called HALF-MINUTE HORRORS. Now I find out that this book is actually going to be available. In stores. This August. And I’m very scared because this book is going to be filled with over 75 scary stories... All the stories in the book are, you guessed it, half-minute horror stories. Contributors include a lot of awful scary authors that I’m sure you’ve never heard of like, oh, RL Stine and Lemony Snicket and

PB’S CHOCOLATE RECIPE OF THE DAY

Well, of the week, er, month anyway... I was just reading in the newspaper about a recipe for chocolate pot de creme (which is a fancy way of saying a little bowl of chocolate pudding) that included Japanese green tea powder. Hm, could green tea be a way of improving on chocolate-brown perfection? I’ll have to try it and report back. In the meantime, I was reminded of one of the recipes that appear in my next book, THIS BOOK IS NOT GOOD FOR YOU. (Yes, there are recipes--all chocolate ones,

P Bosch tweeting?! It must be a trick!

No, I’m afraid it’s true. P Bosch is now on Twitter. Naturally, a person in hiding like myself is reluctant to go anywhere near most social networking sites. But with the Impostor running rampant, not to mention the agents of the Midnight Sun everywhere, I must seize what control I can--before someone else starts tweeting in my name! So follow me, or else...

ACK!! ANOTHER SHARK ATTACK!!!

One of my secret correspondents (known to me only by the strangely familiar pseudonym Pseudonymous Anonymous) just sent me this rare photo of a Great White feeding on great literature... I believe the photo was taken somewhere near the Bermuda Triangle, but I can’t be certain. Anybody with more information about this underwater menace, please send it in... Thanks again, PA!

IMPOSTOR ALERT - UCLA - APRIL 25 & 26

Secret sources inform me that the notorious Impostor is about to rear his head once more. This terrible man who has the audacity to claim to be Pseudonymous Bosch will be signing books in my name this Saturday and Sunday at the UCLA - LA Times Festival of Books. He will be at the Storyopolis booth both days 1-3p. If you are in the Los Angeles area, please head straight for the festival--and denounce this man. He must be exposed as the fraud he is. Alas, I cannot be there myself--it is far to
