Shiny!!

These came in the mail the other day!

I ordered some magnets through vistaprint after the fabulous Gina X. Grant helped with the design (can I just say that designing marketing material is bloody hard!). This is the very first time I ordered swag for myself, so I am rather excited;).

I quite like the design, but there are a few tweaks I’d like to make if I can wade through the procedures. With RomantiCon 13 coming next month I better get my bum in gear.

A lot of people have mentioned that paper swag is not particularly popular. What kind of swag do you like and actually take home with you?

I meant to post this yesterday. I planned to be off work, but had to go in because things were somewhat hellish this week. Basically the Friday Funny is now a Saturday Funny! Enjoy…just make sure you’re not drinking while you’re watching;).

I am also over at Darker Temptations talking about a book that made me cry because it was over.

Best YA Short Story of 2012

My friend Gina X. Grant, author of the fabulous and hilarious Reluctant Reaper series (book 1 currently free), used to write m/m as Storm Grant. Her wonderful short story Few Are Chosen won Best YA Short Story of 2012 at Authors After Dark’s Bookie Awards!

Few Are Chosen is a short story of less than 10,000 words, but I loved every single word. It’s funny, sweet, filled with discovery and a homage to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I’m So Excited!

This is what’s going through my mind today. Well, the excited part, not so much the rest;).

The reason I am so excited is that Tangled Shadows is out in PRINT!

I’ve never had a book in print before, so this feels huge. I can’t wipe the big grin off my face:). I cannot wait to actually hold a copy in my hands. Let me just warn you there will be pictures.

A couple of days I also found out that Tangled Hunger is coming in print in December. Officially in December, because copies will be available for RomantiCon 2013. If you’re coming, you’ll be able to buy both book 1 and 2 in the Celestial Surrender series.

Foreigners have sent in questions about Canada and this lovely lady, and the residents of Vancouver, are all so very Canadian and try to help.
