practical life lessons
In The Stillness
We sincerely need to Thank God for all the
situations in our lives that cause us to have to
"Be Still."
Some of the GREATEST works for God's Kingdom
have actually been done within the boundaries of
Sickness, Distress, Grief, Disease, or Loss.
We must search for Him, with Trust and Quietness,
in these very situations.
In the middle of our trouble and weakness is when
God's Power and Strength is able to be the most
effective within each one of us. It is during these
times that we are most pliable and receptive.
We will KNOW He is God, during the times of
Stillness in our lives.
So Get Still and Be Still during all the circumstances
in your life that you find most difficult or impossible.
A Whisper is much easier to hear in the Silence.
Until the next time we talk.....Stand firm on Philippians 4:13
Love, Hugs, & Prayers,

my life in words
Today we worked on putting the finishing touches on the AUDIO VERSION of my book, "to remember love."
It will be REAL, RAW, RELEVANT, and UNEDITED. I won't just be reading words on a page to you, I will be inviting you to crawl inside my heart and actually feel my heartbeat. I didn't just "write" this book, I "lived" it.
It was a painful life, at best, and you will hear that. It was a devastating life, at best, and you will feel that. BUT, it was a BLESSED LIFE, AT BEST, and you will KNOW that by the time you have finished "riding the waves of my words" with me.
I came away changed after writing this book, and I know you will come away changed after reading it or listening to it.
Keep checking back to see when the AUDIO VERSION of "to remember love" is available. ~tf

my life in words
Today I experienced a "first" in my life. In my whole entire life I have NEVER had this happen before. The thing I came away with was how incredibly SAD it was.
I was at the post office mailing 2 books off. Two people were behind me in line and further back was a woman at a counter getting her letter to be mailed ready.
I finished my business, told the woman at the counter to have a GREAT week-end, smiled at the couple behind me and turned to walk out. As I walked by the woman at the counter I made eye contact with her and smiled at her as I was walking past her. Just as I got right beside her I heard her mumble something and heard the word "smile." So I stopped took one step back and said, "Pardon Me?" Because I thought she was saying something to me and I didn't want to be rude. She said, "Don't you be smiling at me." I almost laughed out loud at first because I thought she was kidding, but I quickly realized she wasn't kidding. I said, "What?" She said, "I don't like people to smile at me." I was SHOCKED!!!!! I have NEVER had anyone, much less a total stranger, tell me NOT to SMILE at them. I looked at her and said, "Uhhhh, then I'm sorry," and I walked on. Everyone around heard this and none of them could believe it. You could have knocked me over with a feather.
So many things were running through my head during this 30 second encounter, but all of them came back to "SAD." How incredibly SAD this was to me. How miserable she must be inside to honestly NOT want ANYONE to smile at her. As I walked away I began to pray for her. I'd appreciate anyone that reads this blog pray for her too.
None of us know what other people are going through as we pass them in the grocery store, in a waiting room, in a pharmacy, or in a post office. If we can take something away from this, I would say we need to start praying going in and pray going out of wherever we go.
I will NEVER stop smiling at people that I pass. In fact, I tell my daughters that our faces are our "Billboards." We advertise ourselves on our faces. I want people to know I have the Joy of the Lord overflowing in my heart. So much so, I want to share it with them. You never know when your smile may be the ONLY smile that person may get that whole week. Maybe if more people smile at that woman she'll start feeling loved and may even start to smile at others. ~tf
