New Tin Snippets

Don't these have kind of a new-age or industrial look to them!? I am so happy with how they turned out! It's been awhile since I've been this motivated to do tin components.  I have some other ideas for these, like maybe coloring the punched metal with patina inks? 
These happened kind of accidentally as I bought a big sheet of this metal at the craft store to make something completely different for a Christmas gift, and when I got home I had a little left over and well, it was kind of an a-HA moment!

I spent some time this afternoon and cleaned up my online stores. I discounted a slew of items in my webstore and on Etsy (in the Clearance and Sale Sections) So check that out. Items discounted up to 40% off!! That's a HUGE deal, and they won't be around long- I will be deactivating the listings in a few days.  Snag em while you can!

I also tried cleaning up my Indiemade store, and got rid of many sold listings, to make room for new listings. That was a process. I hope that Indiemade creates an easier way to edit listings, because one at a time takes a hella long time.

I was feeling motivated today I guess. I also rearranged my office. I have been meaning to tackle this for several months now and finally I just decided to do it. Sometimes rearranging a room is really the only and best way to clean a room. You should have seen the size of the dust bunnies. I'm lucky I got out alive.  I love the new set up and I love that feeling you get after purging a bunch of junk.

I'm spent!

I photographed and finally got these 4 necklaces listed in my Etsy store - these were all published in Michelle Mach's book, Unexpected Findings.  If you didn't get it yet, Put it on that Christmas wish list! It's a good one!

New Listings

You may be wondering why I'm not posting my jewelry listings to my personal FB page anymore. I am trying to get into the habit of posting the listings directly to my Facebook Business Page, Lorelei Eurto Jewelry.

If you don't follow my business page, I strongly suggest you do from now on as that's where you'll be seeing the majority of my listings, besides my regular instagram previews, and blog posts.

 This is to help combat the upcoming changes on FB starting in January where postings of business related topics, will not be supported, unless I pay to have the posts boosted for view. I know it's all very confusing and i may have my facts wrong but read a disparaging article recently regarding the new FB protocol. And so it is, that I have decided to use my business page to its full potential.

Artists & Makers Review and Giveaway

You will definitely want to keep your eyes peeled for this brand new publication, called Artists & Makers, from Interweave/F&W/ ClothPaperScissors.  A lovely magazine, filled to the brim with very useful information for the artists and creatives out there like me, making a living making Art!  
I loved the article from my Facebook friend Jen Cushman, called "Work your Art",  where she talks about how to get away from the age-old term "Starving Artist" and answers a few really poignant questions regarding selling and teaching. 
There are  a few features on specific artists, and also some very helpful articles such as the one on setting up a perfect Open Studio sale/open house.   The In Focus article on how artists have chosen to give back to their community will have you interested and inspired in finding out about how you can help yours.

Half of the pages in this poor magazine are now dog-eared for me to go back to! I know you'll love to read this one cover to cover.

Thanksgiving

This year I am so very thankful that I have both of my parents. I am seeing people struggling every day with the loss of either 1 or both of their parents and it breaks my heart. Although I don't see my parents every day, I think about them many times a day. I miss them and am so grateful that I can pick up the phone and call either of them and they'll be there to answer my call.
