“The Pagans have made known all of this. They have discovered the art of healing the body, they have also made known the art of healing the soul; they have filled the earth with settled forms of government and with wisdom which is the highest good. Without Paganism the world would be empty and miserable.”
Tim Freke, The Hermetica: The Lost Wisdom of the Pharaohs

“The traditional version of history bequeathed to us by the authorities of the Roman Church is that Christianity developed from the teachings of a Jewish Messiah and that Gnosticism was a later deviation. What would happen, we wondered, if the picture were reversed and Gnosticism viewed as the authentic Christianity, just as the Gnostics themselves claimed? Could it be that orthodox Christianity was a later deviation from Gnosticism and that Gnosticism was a synthesis of Judaism and the Pagan Mystery religion?”
Timothy Freke, The Jesus Mysteries: Was the "Original Jesus" a Pagan God?

“The past has departed and no longer is. The future has not arrived and is yet to be. Even the present does not last, so how can it be said to exist, when it doesn't stay still for a moment?”
Tim Freke, The Hermetica: The Lost Wisdom of the Pharaohs
