So, that’s the blurb. Now the caveat – I did a lot of research for this one for the “special needs” aspect. I read through both medical literature and articles by caretakers (eg parents and such). I watched dozens of hours of home videos and short quasi-documentaries. In portraying the special needs character (Maureen) and having her be what I hope is a vibrant part of the couple’s story, I wanted to be respectful and realistic. I did this because it’s the right thing to do, but also because I realize a great many of my lovely readers and fellow authors, particularly romance authors, have a special needs family member, often their own child. Many of you live this day to day, hour to hour, minute to minute. Those who do live it fall along a continuum and I have tried to place Maureen realistically within that continuum.

Now that I’m approaching the end of the Training Her Curves serial and 5 of the existing 7 are out of Kindle Unlimited, it seems like a good time for a big sale on parts 1-3!  THC Chicago is free on Apple, Kobo and All Romance and discounted around 67% on Amazon and Nook (trying to get them free on these platforms, too). Can you skip the breaks in between a particular couple (e.g. read 1, 2 & 4 for Jake & Alexa before starting 2)? Technically, I guess you can, but the series progresses chronologically. While 1, 2 & 4 focus on Jake & Alexa, they are also building Dylan and Marjolein’s relationship.

KU Roll Out Dates

Many of my more dedicated readers know that I have been dealing with health issues, first with cancer and treatment in 2013 then recovery in 2014 complicated by auto-immune disorders. Because of health, my productivity faltered significantly and I enrolled all of my titles in Kindle Unlimited. As a writer, I am not a fan of contemporary subscription models, particularly ones like Kindle Unlimited which demands exclusivity (cutting off readers who are loyal to other platforms and inconveniencing other readers who may have split serial purchases between platforms) and also because the value of each borrow is like a game of roulette (with the potential to turn into a game of Russian Roulette, which no one wants to play!).

So putting my titles in KU was a bit of a sales crutch while my body continued to mend and productivity was restored. I feel like I’m on the cusp of restored productivity. This coincides with more of my titles coming up to the end of their 90-day exclusivity period. So, for those wondering when you can squeeze the last KU borrow in or when you can expect to find titles back on Nook, Apple, ARe and POTENTIALLY Google and Kobo, I’ve compiled a list of dates. These dates are subject to technical limitations on the various platforms that may cause them to be a day or so off. So, if you are getting in a borrow, sooner is better. And if you are waiting for an appearance on another platform, it may take a few days more than listed.
