Pet Me – Second Telling Billionaire’s Pet
Available on Amazon US – UK – CA – AU | Apple US – UK – CA – AU – NZ | Kobo US – UK – CA – AU – NZ | Nook | Google | Smashwords
This is a SECOND TELLING of the Billionaire’s Pet series
Griffin Montgomery is more than unabashedly dominant. He’s a billionaire. And, for fifty thousand dollars, he can command every inch, every quiver, of Katelyn Willow’s flesh for one week.
For Katelyn, the money is just an excuse to camouflage her feelings. She’s broke, but not completely desperate. She takes the deal because there’s something about this man that draws her in, something that flips a switch she didn’t know was there waiting for the right finger to stroke it.
One week of submission, one week of self-exploration. Then it’s over.
That’s the deal. Money for her, pleasure for them both.
Just one minor caveat, an inconvenient addendum to the billionaire’s kinky contract.
Neither of them is supposed to fall in love.
***********
So – what do I mean by “second telling”? Here is how I address it in the front matter of the book
Pet Me versus Billionaire’s Pet
For those who have read the Billionaire’s Pet (BP) series, I imagine you are wondering if you should give Pet Me (PM) a hard pass.
I can’t answer that. But I can tell you about the extent of the changes. The most obvious change is tense and point of view. BP was third person past. PM is first person present (with each main character receiving point-of-view time).
In this particular instance, changing to first person present tightened—and directed—the prose immensely. “Directed” isn’t a term of art, at least not when I use it. It is more like “I know it when I see it.” But focusing within a scene on only one character’s thoughts and perceptions (and misperceptions!) made me (and hopefully you) understand and like the characters more—especially Griffin.
Another major change is the amount of content added or deleted. It cannot be quantified on a pure word count basis because there is only a net increase of (nearly) eleven thousand words. But some thirty percent is new content. The way the original content was added to, deleted from and otherwise revised makes for a richer, less credulity-straining story (my husband disagrees because Griffin is still a billionaire).
Finally, despite BP being my most successful title to date (and likely forever), it was really terribly written in a purely technical sense: whiplash POV changes, roll-the-dice character directions, lip service to what made the characters who they are, and similar disservices in craft to my readers.
Is the re-envisioned telling perfect? No. I don’t have the attention span to write a book that runs a hundred thousand words (or three volumes totaling almost half a million words as that far more famous kinky billionaire story runs). Frankly, I seldom have the attention span to read a book that runs a hundred thousand words. But I really do think Pet Me is far and away better than its predecessor.
I hope you do, too.

Image Drops Just for Fun
I just put a new cover up for Undeniably His. This is like the 3d cover it has had. I swear the split covers (which I did for 4 books total) were complete kiss of death in terms of reader appeal.
Hopefully you ladies will like this one more.
I’m also do a massive re-envisioning of the Billionaire’s Pet story. Same start, same ending, but now first person present instead of third person past and I replaced chapters with new material, etc. Hoping it will be out within the first 10 days of January (if I can stop watching the freaking news long enough to get anything written).
So, Pet, too, gets a new cover and a slightly new name.
Then, I want to start on this bad boy in February after I finish Sutton
And, of course, gotta have a banner for these handsome fellas!

Every Last Curve Leaving Stores Soon
I am about to unpublish my mega Curve collection from the stores. It’s over six-hundred-thousand curve-adoring words (more than 1800 pages) of contemporary erotic romance from friends-to-lovers to billionaire doms, told in lengths that vary from short stories to novels. It is almost every contemporary (non-paranormal) title in my body of work.
This collection will disappear January 8th!

With eight years in the Marines, five of them in Special Forces, Lucas Weaver has witnessed too many marriages end in tears. He swears off the idea of his own nuptials until his best friend invites him home to serve as best man.
Now Lucas is face-to-face with Theresa Hale, his best friend’s curvy sister. From protective to passionate, every feeling he’s tried to forget having for Theresa comes rushing back.
Theresa Hale is no shrinking violet. She’s independent—well, she has her own apartment. That counts, right? Oh, and she has two jobs—except she made one up to hide the fact she’s paying the rent by writing dirty, sweet romances. She’s had her share of boyfriends, too, even if they treated her like a safety school—something to get into as a last resort when all the “better” (thinner) girls turn them down.
And, like every modern, independent woman, she has a secret. She’s madly in love with Lucas Weaver. Too bad he’s perfect and her brother’s best friend.

This is a standalone title with no required reading order from among the Heroes out of Uniform books for clarity, However, it includes as secondary characters the lead couple from Curvy When Wet.

Maybe I need an accountability post
Sutton Lee – Book 4 Real Cowboys Love Curves
Hmmm…so I want to get 2 titles out by end of December. Sutton Lee (book 4 Real Cowboys Love Curves) and Writing Curves (a fifth Heroes out of Uniform). I’d say that’s about a minimum of 70k words and I have no idea (for the most part) what I’m doing for Sutton’s story. I’ve got a vague idea for Writing Curves. For both, I have to re-read some existing material to make sure I don’t mess up my presentation of existing characters (as Writing Curves revisits (as side characters) Annabelle and Corwin from Curvy When Wet). On the plus side, I already have covers for both books

Barrett Cole
Stranded on a lonely road, Barrett Turk isn’t looking for the love of his life—just a ride to the airstrip where his crew of smokejumpers is waiting. With a forest fire eating its way toward his family ranch and the rest of Willow Gap, he’ll do whatever it takes to stop the next vehicle that drives by.
Fleeing a broken life in Los Angeles, Quinn Whitaker doesn’t know what to make of the hulking, axe-wielding maniac who jumps in front of her truck.
Is he a serial killer?
A crazed car jacker?
Mr. Right?

Walker Pierce Real Cowboys Love Curves
Dropping a tree on a woman isn’t exactly Walker Turk’s idea of an opening move—especially when the woman in question is carrying handcuffs and a sidearm.
Fresh off a transfer from California, Federal Agent Ashley Callahan is tracking poachers and the money launderers they use. She doesn’t have time for the lumberjack who almost killed her, even if being near him warms her insides like hot chocolate on a cold night.

Site Rebuild Underway
So…I was trying to grab a createspace link from my site and discovered that I had at least one link back to my old URL of loveatanysize. Big mistake. Thankfully, I’m pretty sure I’m the only one visiting my current site anymore. The problem? Well, when a site has had lot of visitors and links to the site and then the owner deregisters the site, someone else comes along and scoops it up. Often it’s just for ads. But it can be for far worse things. I can’t control all the links to my old websites that are on the internet, but I can control the ones on my current site.
So I nuked all the pages and prior posts on christawick.com.
While I get links back up, the relevant truth is, everything is in Kindle Unlimited to buy or borrow (and thus exclusive for the time to Amazon). All you need to do is visit my author page on Amazon if you’re interested in reading one of my stories.
Rebuilding isn’t a priority because I’ve stopped writing. Well, more accurate to say I’ve stopped publishing. I announced this on my FB page in March.
Last note, there is no more newsletter. If you followed a link from one of my books, my apologies. Again, everything is on my Amazon author page, including my last published menage collection Curves in the Middle.
