The Best Laid Plans
Last night I decided to nix a certain idea and start a new one. This idea won’t even be part of my writing times until 2016 or so, but I needed to lay the groundwork for it now. Well, I had needed it.
Then I changed my mind.
What? You ask. I had a plan to write a spin off about Hunter’s wolves from the Dante’s Circle series. I love these wolves and had a great idea for them. Then I decided that I’d rather work on something else.
Maybe one day I’ll go back, but right now? No. Hunter and Becca are center for me and trying to build around them wasn’t working while I was in writing mode.
So yes, I’m changing my mind and going with something else for the future. Yes, you’ll like it. I promise.

Manic Monday Updates: June Edition
Happy Monday! Okay, sure the day is almost over, but that’s what happens when life takes over. Right now in fact, I’m typing with one hand since I decided to hurt my shoulder. You see, I lifted a little too hard last month and then last week I bumped a deer with my car. The car and the deer are fine, however I need a little rest. Yay? I’ll be sending off a newsletter as usual at the beginning of the month with more updates, but here are some to help with your questions I’ve been getting.
As for what’s coming from me, as always you can check out my Coming Soon page. However I thought I’d do a month by month thing for a little bit.
2013:
June – Shattered Emotions (Redwood Pack 5) just came out.
July 2nd – Redwood Pack Vol 4 will be out in Print and Digital. It contains Forgiveness and Shattered Emotions.
July 16th – Dreams of Ivory (Holiday, Montana 5) comes out. This is Jackson’s story.
Oct 8th – An Unlucky Moon (Dante’s Circle 3). This is Becca and Hunter’s story.
Nov 12th – His Choice (Dante’s Circle 3). This is Fawkes’ novella that is part of the Ever After anthology. Along with four other authors, this will be a paranormal anthology. More info coming soon.
2014: (This is very very tentative. In fact, I’m not even giving you dates LOL. This is what I have planned for 2014 and dates and books are subject to change with my health, muse, and life LOL.)
Redwood Pack: This series will be finishing in 2014. The Jamensons are over then, but that doesn’t mean I can’t visit again in the future. So yes, the two novels Hidden Destiny (North’s story) and Fighting Fate (Cailin’s story) will be released. I also have three novellas coming out. A Beta’s Haven (Jasper after the HEA), Loving the Omega (Maddox after the HEA), and From the Heart (Emmaline, the edler’s, story which will be in an anthology) will always be out in 2014.
Dante’s Circle: There will be two (hopefully) releases in this series. Tangled Innocence (Dante’s story) and Fierce Enchantment (Faith’s story) should be out in 2014.
Super Secret Series: Yeah. We’ll talk about this later. *grins*

Excerpt: Shattered Emotions
North gave her a sad look then started off behind his brother, leaving Ellie again to trail behind.
A branch cracked to their side, and Ellie froze, her wolf rising to the surface. She let her senses widen, tasting the air and the energy around them. She might not have any special powers like the others in the Pack, but she could still hear and see things better than a human.
Maddox moved back slowly to her side, while North flanked her other side. As much as she wanted to growl at them for trying to protect her, she knew it wouldn’t do any good. Not only were they better fighters than her, but their wolves needed to protect her. It wasn’t an instinct the human in them could easily overrun. Yes, they might have let her walk by herself for a bit, but that was before the danger had shown itself.
Goosebumps ran up her arms, and she clenched her teeth. Another branch snapped to their side, and Maddox ran a hand down her arm, calming her.
It took all in her power not to rub up against him in response. Her wolf whimpered for a moment then stood at attention, ready for whatever was coming for them. She couldn’t sense another wolf. No, it was something dangerous, but something different…

Update and Announcement:
As many of you know, I’m moving this summer. However due to many issues and other things out of my control, I have 8 weeks until we move and I still don’t know where exactly that is. I should know in a couple weeks and have enough Air Force Brat in me to make this work, but things are going to be difficult.
To add onto that, the shoulder I injured last month at the Fredrick Book Festival did not heal correctly and I’m having trouble typing for long periods of time.
What does this mean?
Sadly, AN UNLUCKY MOON (Dante’s Circle 3) will have to be pushed back a month to October 8th. I know it’s annoying to have to push back dates, but at this point, it’s going to be tough. I’ll make my original deadline, but I won’t be able to actually publish the book on time because of moving, a Sept conference, my injury, and life.
I’m very, very sorry about this. When my July release hits, I’d have had 15 releases in 12 months. I’ve yet to push anything back and things have been out on time, so I hate having to do this now. It’s been hectic and amazing but I’m going to have to use those extra four weeks to take care of my arm and my move.
