Brand New Series Announcement #2!

Hi All!

I told you I would announce it so here I am! I know many of you are sad that the Redwood Pack is ending in 2014. I’m sad too. I would love to be able to write about each and every Pack member, rather than just he Jamenson family, but I don’t think I can do that. We’d all lose some of that…punch…that comes with the Redwoods.

So yes, the Redwood Pack is ending in 2014.

That doesn’t mean I’m leaving the world though…

Once the Redwoods end I’m coming back with a brand new series called…THE TALON PACK!

Talon Pack

Yes! I’m going to write an 8 books series about the other Pack in the war that we’ve been hearing about but haven’t seen much of…yet.

This series will be set 30 years into the future. Yep. After the Redwoods are over I’m heading forward 30 years. That means….THREE of the REDWOOD PACK KIDS get their stories.

Yep.

Finn….Brie….& Parker!

Those three, once they grow up a bit, will get their HEAs within the Talon Pack.

I am SO SO SO SO FREAKING excited about this series and I hope you are too.

There will be tons of more info to come in a bit but YAY!

Brand New Series Announcement #1!

Hi All!

For those of you who went to Lora Leigh’s RAW, you heard about TWO of my upcoming series. Well…I’m here to announce it to everyone else! Yay! So tomorrow I will announce the other so you don’t get so many blog posts but here is #1….

Starting in Dec 2013 I will be writing my first Contemporary Series called MONTGOMERY INK!

Montgomery Ink

Yes! I’m going contemporary for this series. So, what is Montgomery Ink? Well, it is an 8 book series set in Denver, Colorado about a family that owns a tattoo shop, a construction company, and a few other things. They’re all sexy, tattooed, and the men have beards. Okay, well some of them do.

These men and women are a hard working, hard living, family. Each sibling–as well as a few others, will be getting their own book. These books aren’t dark, but aren’t light and airy either. They’re about family, choices, stigma, sexiness, and everything that comes with being a Montgomery in Denver.

To kick off the series, I’m writing INK INSPIRED, a prequel to the series, that will be in the MIDNIGHT INK bundle coming out in Dec. Book 1, of the series, DELICATE INK, will be out in 2014. Not all titles have INK in them, nor are they all about the tattoo shop. They’re all a bit different, but a have to do with a family I’m already falling in love with.

I can’t wait to share this with you! I will be showing off more as the time comes, so don’t worry! Tomorrow I will be announcing my next paranormal series too!

Quote of the Day 1: An Unlucky Moon

AnUnluckyMoon72Hi All! Are you Ready for An Unlucky Moon (Dante’s Circle Book 3)? Hunter and Becca’s Story comes out on October 8th! I’m so, so excited to show off their story. If you haven’t tried the Dante’s Circle series yet, you still have time! Dust of My Wings and Her Warriors’ Three Wishes are already out. Plus, on November 12th, Fawkes (from Her Warriors’ Three Wishes) and Leslie (from An Unlucky Moon) get their own special novella in the Ever After Anthology!

So, to get you ready for Hunter and Becca, I’m doing Quote of the Days! Here is just a taste of this spicy, exciting Dante’s Circle book!

Hunter had grown up with the humans around him and his Pack at his side. They might be dark and depraved in the best of times, but he’d loved them like his own.

He’d thought he’d return to the Pack he’d known, but that had not been the case.

Snippet Saturday: Trinity Bound

TrinityBoundTrinity Bound (Redwood Pack 3) was my first menage story and I still get requests about more from this triad. :-)

“Well, I’m glad you trust us enough.”

Warmth spread over him at her words. They loved him. Truly. He wasn’t alone. Didn’t have to hide. He’d told Hannah his past, and she hadn’t run away. Jesus, that felt good.

He looked down at her face, her big gray eyes, her pouty lips, and fell just that much more in love. He brushed a speck of dirt off her cheek then framed her face with his hands. This was it. His perfection. His future. Those dove gray eyes looked up at him with the unending love and support. Mix in the jade green from the man he loved and shared and Josh felt complete. He sighed. It was everything.

He leaned down and kissed her, the taste of bitter apples and honey melting on his tongue. He could drown in her taste and never get enough.

His body shuddered, and a graying darkness crept behind his eyes, pulling him deep, tearing at their bond. The bond trembled but stayed true. Josh lifted his head, curled his lip, and grabbed Hannah’s ass, lifting her to the bench.

“Josh,” she gasped.

Question Sunday for Carrie Ann

Howdy! This is the time where you guys get to ask the questions and I get to answer! Ask my anything you’d like in the comments and I’ll come and update the post throughout the day with the answers! So ask away!

Q from Hannah: Are you doing more books past Jackson’s in Holiday, Montana?

A: Yes! Starting in 2016, I’ll be doing 5 more Holiday, Montana books. These had always been in the back of my head but hadn’t known if I would be able to do them because of time and interest from readers. Well, you guys asked, so here I am! You already kind of know which characters they’ll be about if you read DREAMS OF IVORY.

Q from Hannah: OMG I have to wait until 2016? WHY!?

A: I know that seems like a long wait, but between now and Jan 2016 I have at least 22 books coming out. At least. So yes, you have to wait a bit to meet the new Holiday crew, but I’m not going away anytime soon.

Q from Val: Do you ever doubt your ability as a writer? If so, how do you deal with it?

A: I would say I do daily, but not always to a huge degree. Most days I don’t feel like I have enough time or even that my story is horrible. Then when I actually read through it again, it’s not as bad as I thought LOL. If I get the writer blues I either go back and read a complete book of mine, talk to my writer friends online, or go and read a comfort read (like Nalini Singh or Lauren Dane) and I’ll feel better.

Q from Sharon: are you thinking of doing a new series, if you are what are they going to be about?

A: Oh yes! I have plans! LOL I have 5 new series coming out between now and 2016. So far. LOL My first new series will be out in Fall of 2014. I’m planning on announcing what that’s about at Lora Leigh’s RAW next month in person to those readers. Then I’m sure between me and the bloggers there (LOL) we will announce what it will be about online. I will announce 2 more of those new series at Wild Wicked Weekend in Feb 2014. It’s odd that I’m announcing them in person, but it turned out this way for reasons you’ll see later LOL. Oh! And I’m announcing a brand new series after the last Redwood Pack book comes out next year. Whew! I’m busy!

Q from Mary: Please tell me there are lots more shifters books in my future from you? Love your books but admit my fondness for your Redwood Pack Series.

A: Thank you Mary! I love my Redwood Pack too. And yes, there are more shifters in the future. That’s not all though…

Q from Anny: in your coming soon list, it shows when the Redwood pack series ends, and that’s in 2014, and if the rest of Holiday Montana doesn’t come out until 2016 then what are u writing in the meantime? Dante’s circle can’t be the only thing coming out in 2015 so what else are you coming out with?

A: :-) I sort of answered this question above. I have 4-5 new series between now and then that are mixed with the old series. I will be able to really talk about it next month. I promise. :-) Don’t worry, there’s going to be at least a book out every other month.

Q from Val: How did you find your critique partner? And how do you recommend a new writer go about trying to find one?

A: I found Lia from an online writing Yahoo group called Rom Critters. I think they might be taking applications.

Q from Anny: when you first started writing, what did you expect when you released your first book? were you expecting to become so popular? or were you nervous and didn’t know what to expect?

A: When I first started I thought it would be cool to get a book out and see if anyone bought it. I honestly thought I’d sell maybe 10 copies and call it a day. I was fine testing the waters and then going back to being a full time professor and reader. I would have continued to write stories, but not for what I’m doing now since it didn’t know I’d love it as much as I do. And was I expecting to become popular? Oh that’s so awesome that you think it is LOL. I’m surprised every single day that this happens. That’s why I keep writing because I’m afraid I’m going to wake up one day and it’s all going to be a dream.

SPOILER QUESTION FROM SHATTERED EMOTIONS:

Q from Anny: Why did you choose to have Lexi not be able to shift? And why North as the one destined to kill Corbin?

A: Lexi came to me as latent. It’s just who she is. In Hidden Destiny you’ll find out a bit how she deals with it. And as for that last question, fate can be tricky. Just like destiny.

Snippet Saturday: HER WARRIORS’ THREE WISHES

HerWarriorsThreeWishes72Today I’m taking a (dirrrrty) snippet from HER WARRIORS’ THREE WISHES (Dante’s Circle 2). For those of you who downloaded the A TASTE OF DECADENCE bundle, this is the second book following DUST OF MY WINGS. I just finished the draft for AN UNLUCKY MOON (Dante’s Circle 3), which comes out Oct 8th.

(c) 2013

He nibbled up her neck, her taste settling on his tongue as her hands roamed his back. He pulled away to let her take off his shirt.

He cupped her breasts, her nipples stiffening through her bra.

“I want you, Jamie. All of you.” He crushed his mouth to hers, their bodies moving together toward the couch.

He pulled away and turned her around so she faced away from him, her perfect bottom ready for his hands.

“Put your hands against the couch,” he ordered.

“What is it with you two and taking me from behind?” she said as she wiggled her ass.

He spanked her hard, and she gasped. “Balin told me you liked that, and I wanted to see. If you think we’re doing too much of the same thing, I’m sure I can change that.”

He quickly shucked his pants and stripped her of her bra and panties, leaving them both naked and panting.

“I’m going to let you ride me, Jamie-mine. How does that sound?”

She smiled as he sat down and she straddled him. He held her hips steady as she tried to slide over him, not wanting to take her just yet.

She looked like a goddess, his goddess.

“What’s wrong?” she asked, her breasts heaving as she panted, wanting.

He slid one hand up between her breasts and collared her throat. Her eyes darkened, and he smiled.

Why Hello There

I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve blogged. Okay, not really, but still. I’ve been on Facebook and Twitter updating the move, so you at least know what’s going on if you’re over there.

I moved to Chicago last week. I think I like it. I’m still in the “OMG I need to find the bank, post office, and get our boxes here” mindset though, so I will let you know what I think later LOL.

I’ve been living in a small college town for the past 5 years. That is REALLY long for me because before that I hadn’t lived in a city for longer than 3 years. And even then, I didn’t live in a house/apt for longer than a year. Being an AF kid had it’s perks — you never collect STUFF. LOL

That college town though, prepared me for Chicago. I know. Odd right? For 9 months out of the year, the town would have an increase of 40,000 people. Crazy. Over half of these people have cars so now there is tons of traffic on roads meant for less than half the population. The stores were ALWAYS busy because college kids don’t know the meaning of shopping for the week, rather than the day. I know some live in dorms, but not all of them did. Restaurants were ALWAYS horrible busy with college kids.

And the worst? College kids just walk into streets and expect cars, buses, trucks, and bikes to move out of the way for them.

All. The Time.

Now that I’m in Chicago though, it’s like the same thing, just not college kids. When we’re driving, we’re having to doge out of the way of cars and people who don’t know the meaning of a cross walk or lane line. It’s a big city, so really, it’s not a Chicago thing, but a metro thing. I’m just getting used to it, though really, I have been preparing for the past 5 years in college hell LOL.

Writing on the stairs. Not so much fun.

We don’t have furniture or our goods yet as they should be coming tomorrow or at the latest, next week. Sleeping on an air mattress is killing me, but soon, I will have my pretty new bed.

Yesterday, though, hubby bought me a brand new desk and chair. So now I’m actually working from something other than the stairs! Yay!

1235890_481076301988502_1971718360_n

Isn’t it pretty?

Today I’m working on North’s book, HIDDEN DESTINY (Redwood Pack 6). I’ve written the prologue so I just spent the past hour in Cyam’s mind. Once I use some brain bleach, it’s time to get into Lexi’s POV. :-)

An Unlucky Moon (Dante’s Circle 3) is at the final editor’s right now. So yes, we’re getting closer. EVER AFTER (the anthology that contains Dante’s Circle 3.5) is at the formatter’s now. We should have review copies soon. If you’re not signed up for the review list, you should be. You just need to have a blog. :-)

When I’m not doing those other 20394 things, I’m getting ready for Lora Leigh’s RAW in Maryland next month. Registration is still open and there are a couple spots left if you’re on the fence about going. We’re doing SO SO much during this time and since it’s small (300 readers vs 18 authors) there’s lots of one-on-one time.

Okay, that’s it for now! Off to go kill people…eh…I mean write happy words in HIDDEN DESTINY.
