Digital Fortress by Dan Brown 5 of 5 Stars

I wasn't sure about reading another book by Dan Brown because I was really disappointed with The Lost Symbol and Inferno. Why does Brown either get it so right or so wrong? There's no in between with his books. I either love them completely or hate them to the max. Digital Fortress was great, maybe because it was one of his older books. I don't know if I'll ever read anything new from Brown as the last few have been terrible.
Digital Fortress was exciting, but I did skim read over the frantic...

The Difference Between Self-Publishing and Vanity Publishing

I've been thinking about writing this blog post for a few weeks now, because of a phone interview I had with the producer of a TV program. It's a new series of documentaries (reality TV really) coming to Sky Arts early next year. The show I was contacted about is being created by Giles Coren. At the time of the call I didn't realise who the producer was referring to, so I Googled. It's Giles from a food show called Supersizers with Sue Perkins I watched years ago, with my eldes...

Self-Published Authors Are Losers Who Can't Get Published For Real

Haha, that's not really what this blog post is about. I just added that title to grab attention because it's the view of the general public.

Failed at Forty - Six Days Remaining

Saturday 6th June 2015
I'm turning forty in six days. Oh shit, I didn't realise it was that soon! Why have I not looked at a calendar until now? Probably so I don't traumatise myself. I know, I know, age is just a number. But we are social creatures and numbers have meaning. The number 40 having massive meaning for me right now.Actually, the more I think on it, the less I worry. Forty is an awesome age. It means I'm officially a woman. No one can ever again refer to me as a girl. Not that anyo...

Space Adventure Awaits!

I'm writing a teen space adventure novel, and these films are why... The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Guardians of the Galaxy Galaxy Quest Attack the Block Dude, Where's My Car? SpaceballsI've loved comedy space adventures since Spaceballs in the 80s! It's about time I wrote my own space adventure, and who knows? I might write a sequel because I love all of my characters so much! Even the one's with tentacles. Actually, especially the one with tentacles.
