WIP Thursday ~ ON Time!!!

I know you're shocked. I'm getting my stuff together and managed to post this on time. I'm pretty proud of myself, actually.

So what's on the menu these days? Plenty.

Here Without You releases next month. It's the fourth of the Glow band books. Hiram and Slash get to tell their story. Here's the blurb:

Love doesn't always happen according to plan.

Some guys have all the luck and some guys love the pain. Slash Gunderson knows that feeling well. His place behind the drums for Glow is a dream come true. Can he accept his need for kink and the man who makes his heart beat?

Hiram Moline loves his job as the head of security for Glow. He's also in love with Slash. There's one major glitch -- someone has been sending Slash threatening letters. Hiram's not about to let anything happen to Slash. Can he convince Slash they've got something strong or will the stalker get the upper hand?

I'm really excited about it coming out.

What's up next?

The wolf story. Yep. I'm writing a wolf. He's next. It's a spin-off of the Glow books. Can't let those crazy characters go.

I'm trying to pace myself a bit, but sometimes it's hard.

Anyway, I'm heading out to work on the wolfie.

If you haven't checked out the Love Hangover Contest, you should. It's very cool. :-)

Sunday Snoggin' With Zac and Atria

Sunday Snoggin' is one of my favorite times of the week. Why? Hot Kisses and Excerpts, that's why! Always so much fun! So what do I have up here for a snog? Why an excerpt fromFire Woman (and yes, that is the Cult in my head, why do you ask?). Why don't you read along!

Contemp, paranormal, m/f
novella
Glow Book One
Available here from Changeling Press!

She's everything he needs...if he can withstand the burn!Atria Moline isn't your average photographer. She controls fire. Sounds fun, being able to scorch whenever you like? Think again. She's lonely and desperate for the touch of the man who can dance in her flame -- if she doesn't immolate him first.

Zac "Iceman" Frost controls the stage with his band Glow. He's not about to back down from Atria's challenge. He's got secrets of his own and his sights set on her.

“Attie?”

She slapped again. “Hate you!”

Firm hands grasped her wrists. “Attie.”

Blinking, she took in the room around her. Instead of the cloudy, gray muddle of her dream, the bedroom became clearer. Chocolate brown walls ringed with stark white baseboards. A gigantic mirror filled the space above the bed. A shadow blocked the light from the lamp.

“Attie?”

Zac. She touched the outline of her palm print on his cheek. Embarrassment and shame filled her brain. Of all the people to try to harm her, he wasn’t one of them.

“You’ve got one hell of a right hook when you want to get a guy’s attention.”

She forced a snort. “Yeah.”

“Did you dream about him? Like we were… about to make love, but he showed up?” He grasped her palm and kissed the tender skin. “Would you hate me if I said I wanted to?”

“Make love? Now?” she whispered. Yes, she wanted to know every square inch of his body and feel him moving within her. Niccolo and his stupid commands be damned.

Propped on one elbow, Zac cradled her body tight against his and rubbed his nose along her cheek. “I’ve wanted to kiss you since the moment Luc brought you to the studio.”

“Me?” Her voice squeaked. Great. Way to sound confident. With him so close, she saw not only the blue in his eyes, but the rings of azure blending with white streaks along his pupil. A girl could get lost in such a brilliant palette of color. “That’s why I brought you to my most sacred place. The dog likes you, I’m hooked on you. Works for me, now kiss me.” Zac blotted out any response she could come up with and lowered his lips to hers. She opened to him, licking along his bottom lip and tangling her tongue with his.

“Lay back,” he murmured.

Atria did as he asked, but she didn’t take her gaze off him. The whole scene, him there with her, him interested in her -- it had to be a dream. “Zac?”

“Hush.” Kisses fluttered along her inner thigh. “Enjoy.”

Because We Are All Equal

I'm so glad you stopped by the blog for the Hop Against Homophobia! If you're like me, you'd like to see everyone treated equally and have the right to do what they want - like get married. If you're on the fence, take some time to really read the posts and think about your stance.

What are my thoughts on homophobia? According to the all mighty Wikipedia: Homophobia is observable in critical and hostile behavior such as discrimination and violence on the basis of a non-heterosexual orientation.

I look at it this way. I'm a girl with blue hair and a few piercings. No tats because I don't know what I want permanently on me, but I have no aversion to them. I write erotic works and read whatever I can get my hands on. I like my kink. I don't want to be judged because of the way I look or who I love. I don't think anyone should be judged that way--be it black, white, green, purple, gay, lesbian, or transgender... Why? We love who we love and we look the way that makes us feel good about ourselves. Doesn't everyone deserve that right? I think so.

I have a family member who came out a few years back. I love her dearly. She struggled with coming to grips with what she wanted and who she was deep down inside. Lots of people didn't want to know she was a lesbian. I can recall emails we shared where we talked about how some folks react when they find out loved ones are gay. She'd been in situations where she wasn't accepted. I assured her that even if I'm a handful of states away, I still love her and back her in whatever decision she makes. Her orientation doesn't bother me a bit. Thankfully for her, she's got the support of her family, like me, and a loving wife. Yep. She was lucky enough to find that one person to make her whole. I'm glad, too. They are a great couple.

If you know someone who is gay, lesbian, transgender, bisexual, queer, or even straight, give them a hug. Tell them you love them no matter what. You'll feel better for it and will make their day. I promise.

So what do you have to do? Open your mind. Grin. And if you want to be in the hat for a prize...in this case, it's a pdf of Under and Over It . (You can read more about the book here.) The pdf is available to all entrants, international or not. So what do you have to do? Leave your name, email and comment on your LBGTQ read. That's it!

I won't lie. I'd love for you to follow me on Facebook, follow my blog, and to follow me on Twitter, or you can sign up for my newsletter. Joining, friending, following isn't expected. Do that because you want to. It's not mandatory to win. The contest ends May 20th, so act now. I'll announce the winner right here on the blog on May 21st as well as I'll email the winner!

I'll bet, now that you've read the post and commented, you want to follow the rest of the tour? I thought you might. Grin. Here's the link to the rest of the Hop Against Homophobia. Thanks for stopping. Good luck!

WIP Thursday!

It's mildly humorous. Every week I write my WIP Thursday post (Well, I try to keep it to every week) where I mention what I'm in the midst of. So what's funny about a post? No matter how hard I try, it seems like the story I should be finishing isn't the one that wants to be finished. The one that just sort of popped up and is expecting to be written, usually takes precedence. Maybe it's the over zealousness of the characters, the ADHD my mother swears I don't have, or a lack of focus... I don't know. But it seems like some weeks I'm repeating myself, saying the same story is being worked on. It is. That's the killer of it. I write about 400 words on one and then, POOF, move on to something else. If it doesn't gel, I bail. Sad, really.

Here's the bullet list of what's in the works.

* Christmas with Glow story - It's a whole whopping 300 words done, but hey, you have to start somewhere.

* Tiger Lily, Michael, and John's story from Forever Wicked: Always. I'm working on the outline.

* Avery's story from Cock and Bull. He begged for the story, and went quite. Brat.

* New on the table: The werewolf story. Yep. You read that right. I never thought I'd write a were. Why? Just never came to me. Until Ansen. Yep. Showed me the beginning of the story and everything. If you liked the GLOW books, well, this spin off is for you. Grin.

Okay, time to get back to the characters. One of these days I'll get back to the guys from Permanent, too. One day.

Sinful Sirens and White Hot Summer!

Some of my favorite red hot reads with Sexy Men and Sinful Women? I've got a few suggestions for you. GRIN. Here's my top three reads for the summer and of course, one of mine! Now here's the cool part about this list, well, other than your TBR list will grow, you can win a copy of Fire Woman - the first book in my Glow Band Series - just for commenting on your favorite Summer Read! The pdf is available to all entrants, international or not. Leave your name, email and comment on your favorite summer read. That's it!

I won't lie. I'd love for you to follow me on Facebook, follow my blog, and to follow me on Twitter, but they aren't expected. Do that because you want to. It's not mandatory to win.

3. Damn Good Man - Michelle Witvliet

Widower Joel Hubbard isn't interested in his friends' attempts to fix him up. He's content with his quiet, structured life as a single dad until he wanders into Gwen Marconi's real estate office and discovers everything he never knew he was missing in his life. Gwen has a knack for attracting womanizers, losers and jerks. From what she can tell, Joel isn't any of those things. In fact, he's everything she ever wanted in a man and it starts her thinking she's finally found herself a keeper. Just when it looks like she's found a place of her own in his heart, she's forced to rethink their future together when a cruel stroke of fate brings her happiness crashing down. How can she put the man she loves through the same nightmare a second time?

I'm not one for reading an entire novel on the computer. This book changed that fact. I started it and couldn't put it down. The best part? The ending. Never saw it coming and yeah, it made me cry! Great!!!

2. Dead Sexy - Kimberly Raye

She was looking for long-term. She wasn't expecting eternity!

Just when Nikki Braxton has given up on finding a normal guy, she meets cowboy Jake McCann. Tall, dark and delicious, he could be the ideal man--if he wasn't a vampire. Well, at least that explains his...uh...hunger for her.

Meanwhile, that down-and-dirty sex they're having is giving him the energy he needs to destroy his nemesis and break the vampire curse. Good thing, because being with Nikki makes him long for a normal life that much more.

But then Nikki is abducted. If Jake saves her, he may lose his only shot at becoming human again. Talk about damned if you do...

The covers drew me in. The vampires kept me there. Great for a warm summer night!!

1. Regularly Scheduled Life - KA Mitchell

Sean and Kyle have enjoyed six perfect years of what their friends called a disgustingly happy relationship. But what happens one sunny morning might be more than even the most loving couple can survive. When the bell rings that morning in chemistry teacher Seans first-period class, a terrifying sound fills the hallsgunshots. Sean runs to tackle the shooter, sustaining a bullet wound to his leg. He is unable to save the lives of the principal and two students. Kyle hears about the shooting on the radio, and in the flash of an instant finds his life irrevocably altered. Everythingespecially his hearthangs suspended in a nightmare until he finds out Sean is alive. Kyles just relieved the worst is over. Or is it? Putting that day behind them isnt as simple as it sounds. As Sean struggles to make something positive out of the tragedy, Kyle fights to save their relationship from the dangers of publicityand Seans unwillingness to face how the crisis has changed him.

Loved this one because it's painful and real. The characters stayed with me far beyond the last page. I laughed, cried and wanted more. Great read!

My personal favorite red hot read?

The Air I Breathe
When Taygan walked, Luc thought he'd never see his best friend again. That's fine. Luc's busy with his band, Glow, and isn't really interested in having a love life. There's just one small glitch. He's lonely without Tay, and his pride can't take losing him again. It's up to Luc to decide, but can he live with his decision?

Taygan thought he could handle his element and have a permanent relationship with Luc -- until the need to follow the wind element took over. But being away from Luc is killing Tay's element. To make things worse, Luc's not waiting around for Tay any longer. What's a guy to do when his lover is the very air he breathes?

This one is near and dear to my heart because I love the characters. Tay and Luc put me through the emotional wringer in a good way. I hope they do for you, too.

Now if you want to follow the hop, here's the linky list. But don't forget to comment. Leave your name and email so I know how to get in touch with you! Enjoy!
