Opposites attract? Are you kidding?

For Ike Clanton, having competition means winning. Best at the guitar, biggest ride, highest hair, most tattoos. Until he meets Tallulah. She's nothing like he wants, but she's everything she needs -- he just has to figure it out.

I’m sorry I acted like a jerk. It tends to happen when I feel blindsided and manage to do something really stupid.”

Wow. She sank back in her seat. The guy who was only hours earlier a complete dick was actually the sexy guy with the guitar she remembered. His touch seared her skin. She shifted her thighs together. If she wasn’t careful, just being turned on would send the plants into the room into hyper growth.

Ike’s lips curled into a soft smile that made it to his eyes. God, she wanted him. Wanted to be the woman in his life and to truly believe she was the woman he’d written the song for.

Her chest heaved. Damn, he made it hard to breathe. “Ike?”

“That’s my name, Lulah.” He inched toward her. “I wanted a chance to show you I wasn’t some sex-crazed rock star with a chip on my shoulder. That night was a blur, but I never forgot your smile or the glitter in your eyes and the way you felt so right in my arms. The words for “Longing” were and are the best way I could think of to tell you I wanted more.” He rose up between her knees and cupped her jaw in both hands. “I didn’t get the chance to taste you then. I’m not losing the chance now.”

He swallowed her gasp as his lips feathered over hers. Tallulah fisted her hands at her sides. If she didn’t touch him, then maybe the kiss wouldn’t imprint itself on her brain. Too late. His touch trickled down along the column of her throat. Every nerve ending sizzled. She swiped her tongue over his bottom lip. Remnants of the sauce lingered and sweetened the kiss. She whimpered and pressed her hands against his chest. Solid muscle rippled under her touch. Goddess, this was the man she’d wanted, the man she begged for. Her counterpart. The energy of her element vibrated. He was hers.

WIP Thursday!

Lots has happened since I did a WIP Thursday post. First off...
Cock and Bull comes out next week. I'm pretty stoked. It's probably the raunchiest thing I've written, but it was so much fun!

Hiram and Slash finally finished telling me their story. I loved writing them and am a little sad that the series is coming to an end. I mean, they are like family. With crazy stalkers. Shrug. If you can't stand the heat, don't Glow!

I turned in another Razor's Edge story. This one involves pearls, a crop and some commanding. Tentatively titled Make Me, we'll see if it makes the cut.

The characters from the Christmas story have started talking. Pixie and Nitro. Yeah, I had no idea that would be their names, either. Something about a ticket, a present that's unexpected, and a crop that's not for reindeer. Let's just say, I'm figuring it out.

I'm also toying with a follow up to Under and Over It. I got comments that the story line seemed rushed at the end. Maybe. But the boys are also chattering, so I'll listen. Not sure what they'll say, but I'm listening.

Last but not least--since it's got to be turned in the fastest--I'm working on a short story for TEB for a free read. :-) I still have NO BLOODY IDEA what it's going to be. Sigh. Muse? Oh, Muse? Where are You?

I'm neck deep in Hiram and Slash's story. Yep. Still. Actually it's a lot better than it sounds because I've got one love scene left and it's done. Done. Unfortunately the boys don't want to show me that play session, so it's going to take a little time. Shrug. They will. They like to lead me on...stop and start...fits and grins...brats.

Cock and Bull comes out in a couple weeks. I'm stoked about that one because I liked the characters. They are deviations from what I normally deal with--the bdsm is raunchy but fun. I hope you like the threesome, too.

Up next is my take on Strong Hans and the Glow Kids Christmas story. I know, I know, Christmas? It's not even July. Shrug. Ya gotta do what the muse says.
