NEW NEW NEW

First of all, I've just released the NEW monster!

THE STRANGE CASE OF DR HYDE AND HER FRIENDS is available on Amazon in both Kindle and print-on-demand formats.

It's a contemporary, romantic suspense novella inspired by the classic tale of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

I'm also in the midst of updating my Candy's Monsters website. In addition to the blog, there will be FREE short fiction, contests and more!

Check out the new Monster:

Matilda & Me

I went to see the musical based on the Roald Dahl book "Matilda" and it reminded me of myself a long, long time ago when I battled MONSTERS at the front of the classroom.

Check out this blog post and tell me if you encountered a bully on the teacher's side of the desk?

Bear Legs in Pumps

Do typos make you crazy?

Do you avoid reading Indie books because of the general lack of proofreading?

Have you given up on perfection?

I'm contemplating the importance of proofreading and accepting something not quite perfect in the end...

What do Magritte, Belgian beer, the Museum of Modern Art and Edgar Allan Poe have in common?

Private/Public

Do conversations you overhear in public places ever prompt a great idea for a story?

It happens to me!

People on the street, subways and cafes of New York are always talking, talking, talking and I listen and learn.

Dark Side of Santa

The Jolly old Saint Nick of department store Santa-lands and TV commercials, is not the only character measuring the "goodness" and "badness" of children.

There's Krampus in Alpine Countries and Black Pete in the Netherlands.

I'm exploring the dark side of the Santa stories on Candy's Monsters blog today:

Writers & Characters

Where does the writer end and the character begin?

I'm musing about the relationship I have with my characters on my Candy's Monsters blog:
