Now for the interview...
Welcome Jessica Gibson!
Q: Tell me a little bit about yourself. What do you do for fun?
I’m a wife and mother, and an author, a blogger, and an online event planner. I wear a lot of hats lol. I don’t usually have a lot of spare time, but when I do get a few minutes to myself I love to read.
Q: What do you like most about the genre you write in?
The thing I enjoy most about the paranormal/fantasy genre is that anything can happen. You can create whole new worlds. Q: Where is your favorite place to write?
My kitchen table late at night. When the house is quiet and everyone is sleeping.
Q: What’s your next project?
I have a few things in the works, the last Boston Witches book, the 2nd Blood Ties book, and a YA series called Haunted U. I tend to have a bunch of books going at the same time, so if I get stuck on one, I can jump to the next. Q: How do you feel about Dr. Pepper?
Lol, that is funny. Well, I’d have to say I really like Dr. Pepper.

About Author Parker FrancisParker Francis is the pen name of author Victor DiGenti. As Parker, I write gritty, fast-paced mysteries filled with murder, violence and laced with humor. The first in my Quint Mitchell Mystery series was MATANZAS BAY, an award-winning adventure set in the nation's oldest city. The second in the series, BRING DOWN THE FURIES, takes PI Mitchell to Allendale, SC where he becomes embroiled in an ugly cultural war and comes face to face with a serial arsonist. In my first life I worked for the Public Broadcasting stations in NE Florida with diverse duties that included public affairs producer, director, reporter, fundraiser and producer of the Jacksonville Jazz Festival. My first three books were written using my real name. They were adventure/fantasies with a feline protagonist. The WINDRUSHER trilogy won multiple awards and attracted readers of all ages.

The Tale of Lucia Grandi Book Tour
The Tale of Lucia GrandiWhen an old woman is asked to tell the story of her life, she tells an intense and poignant tale about growing up in and surviving a warring suburban family during the 1950s and '60s. Written as a memoir, each chapter describes a particular incident in Lucia's life which shows the constant struggle between her parents and the perverse effect it has on her and her family. From her complicated and unwanted birth, to her witnessing a suicide at age 3, to her stint as a runaway at age 14, the story progresses to the final crisis where as a young woman she is turned out of her house and banished from her family forever.
Told in breathtakingly beautiful prose, this is a powerful and timeless story of a dying woman's courageous attempt to come to terms with her past and the troubled family that dominated it.

ONCE UPON A TIME......I was born in New York City and grew up on Long Island where I had an interesting and creative childhood. Once in college, I studied Psychology and Philosophy, but since "thinking" didn't translate into earning money or job security, I worked at a variety of different and unrelated jobs both in New York City and on Long Island.
In order to keep me sane through all the craziness of life, I spent my spare time writing. Anything and everything. The culmination of this was a fantasy - The City of Light - which has recently been reissued as an ebook.
I took up the hobby of dog showing and breeding and produced many Pekingese Champions. You can see them over at our Castlerigg Pekingese website.
Somewhere in the middle of my life so far, after a great personal upheaval, I went back to school, became a High School Librarian. I managed to fulfill my childhood dream of living in the country when I finally escaped suburbia and moved to Vermont where I now happily live with my beautiful Pekes.
But I've never stopped writing. My biography (as with my life, I hope) is to be continued...

My Review:
An Unexpected Blessing by Debra St. JohnMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is a wonderful and touching holiday story about love, second chances, and small town life. It’s a beautifully written romance and so heartwarming, I recommend as a great read any time of year. Not only does it remind the reader about the importance of Thanksgiving but it also reminds us to open our hearts and minds to those who’ve made mistakes and are working to set things right. Everyone deserves a second chance if they work for it and this book highlights how detrimental gossiping and bullying can be in that setting.

Pinch of Naughty Review
Eleanor Lacey’s husband is as dead as their sexless marriage. While she waits for the law to decide if she’s widowed or divorced, she leaves scandal in Connecticut behind and flees to Texas to begin anew. But she needs money—fast. What better way to earn her grubstake than by cooking meals for the richest rancher in the state?Cyrus Burke works hard for every penny he makes and prides himself on knowing where to cut costs. He doesn’t want a wife cluttering up his life. His housekeepers are good enough—round-the-clock employees tending his sexual appetite too. When Mrs. Lacey applies for the position, she looks like a promising candidate. Delicious in fact, as smooth and creamy as a tasty tart. When Eleanor and Cyrus come together, it’s a recipe for hot love. Take one wickedly willful widow and one arrogantly masterful man, add a dash of decadent desire, a pinch of sizzling naughty, and turn up the fire.Author Website

My Review:
Pinch of Naughty by Gem SivadMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
Deliciously Naughty!
I’ve read Western romances before but this one held an unexpected surprise with a more modern-minded woman and a more sensual-minded man. Put the two together in an arranged setting and the sparks fly. Here’s what I like the most: The woman was not a virgin (as is the case in most that I’ve read) and she willingly agreed to enter into a contract to take care of a man’s needs and actually goes through with it with hardly any trepidation. How often do you see that in a Western? Never. At least I never have. The combination was exciting and fresh, and I loved the chemistry between the couple. I could NOT stop reading this story.

About Author Alan NayesI live in Southern California but still consider myself part Texan by birthright. I was born in Houston and grew up in Dallas. I've resided in California since the mid 1980's but get back to Texas as much as possible. My first two published novels--GARGOYLES and THE UNNATURAL are biomedical thrillers. Actually THE UNNATURAL could also fall into the horror genre as it is a pretty bizarre tale. BARBARY POINT is a love story about a successful young woman who falls in love with a fishing guide. It was written on a suggestion from a former agent. My favorite football team is the Superbowl champs GREEN BAY PACKERS. Sorry Cowboys. But when GB is not on the gridiron--Go Dallas! Great Cheerleaders, too! I enjoy the outdoors and as a side note I'm one of only a few individuals to ever swim across Wisconsin's chilly Lake Winnebago. Does this make me a better writer--probably not. When I'm not working on my next project, I enjoy relaxing and fishing at our family vacation home in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Alan Nayes is the author of GARGOYLES , THE UNNATURAL , BARBARY POINT , GIRL BLUE, and SMILODON.

Her next assignment should have been another "mission accomplished", but hell was delivering hand baskets that day. When a little girl gives a mysterious silver box to Gerry, her world self-destructs. Secrets buried deep in the past begin to rise, threatening everything she holds dear. If she can't out run her past, can she save her future?
About Author Olivia HardinAbout the Author – Olivia Hardin realized early on how strange she was to have complete movie-like character dreams as a child. Eventually she began putting those vivid dreams to paper and was rarely without her spiral notebooks full of those mental ramblings. Her forgotten vision of becoming an author was realized when she connected with a group of amazingly talented and fabulous writers who gave her lots of direction and encouragement. With a little extra push from family and friends, she hunkered down to get lost in the words. She’s also an insatiable crafter who only completes about 1 out of 5 projects, a jogger who hates to run, and is sometimes accused of being artistic, though she’s generally too much of a perfectionist to appreciate her own work. A native Texas girl, Olivia lives in the beautiful Lone Star state with her husband and their puppy Bonnie.Connect with her Online - Blog | Goodreads | Twitter | Facebook
