Marcia Carrington writes about the human condition, exploring what makes people tick, but in an upbeat and optimistic tone. If you have an idea, write it down, don't let it roost in your head too long, and begin to develop it. Once you start writing, other ideas start proposing themselves to you, and this is the exciting, thrilling, and unpredictable nature of writing which will suck you in, and weave its magical spell on you!

I might work on another book, or do some reading to give myself some space, and gain perspective on it. I believe in many instances that writer's block can originate if we are feeling tired or are extremely busy, and the mind, and body, are not machines, and need their rest and time to recuperate.

Everyone is different in their reactions and actions, but once the writer is rested, the inspiration should return, and the writer's block phase should end. It is something that everyone goes through at one point or another, but is not a cause for worry. (less)

Alberto Manguel, A History of Reading

“I focus on the bright light, without seeing, wondering if it is just a weird coincidence that when people die they always say go towards the light, and if you are born you have to travel through a tunnel towards a light. Would this mean that moving towards the light is in actual fact being reborn, like being reincarnated? Would this possibly then mean that our souls really are recycled, and that we do come back repeatedly, until we get it right and I keep getting it wrong?”
Lynette Ferreira, Recycled Souls

“The fears and doubts I have are so real, so are they really as childish and silly as you always say they are.”
