Okay, okay, yes. So I’m horrible about blogging and haven’t done it in a while. But good news! I have a bunch of stuff coming out soon. Book Recommendaitons: Audiobook Recommendations

  Audiobook Recommendations I’m kind of weird about audiobooks. I’m just going to get that right out of the way up front. I was slow to pick them up at all until I discovered my kid (my own child!) was a reluctant reader. Then I discovered a few years ago that my son loved audiobooks and couldn’t get enough of them, so we started listening to them on car trips. I’m the super-strict No-TV-In-The-Car-Look-Out-The-Windows-For-Heavens-Sake mom, so audiobooks were a great compromise for us. We got the benefit of listening to great stories and my son got hooked on the written word in audiobook format. So… audiobooks started creeping in. First kids books, then some non-fiction (mostly memoirs and such) from authors or comedians I love. And then I found some radio dramas. Audiobooks? What audiobooks?

Good morning, lovely people! I hope your week is going well. Because I get questions about audiobooks all the time, I’m going to address some of the most common questions in this post. Why are your new audiobooks taking so long? Well, for some reason, my previous audio publisher decided they didn’t want to pick up the newer books in my series. Not sure why as sales have been good, but there you go. Now, in the past, that would have meant reader/listeners were just out of luck. But happily, we don’t live in that time. The good news? I can produce my audiobooks myself! The bad news? I have to produce my audiobooks myself. Why is that bad news? Well, producing takes time.
