Administrative and Diplomatic Office (PTD) - The Story Behind the Scene

I have received an offer to be an Administrative and Diplomatic Officer (PTD) in the government sector. It is well known that this job is the most difficult job t get in the government sector and Alhamdulillah I have been chosen to join the post-graduate programme and later on can be oficially appointed after finishing the programme.
This entry is purposely written to review the stages that I have been through to get the offer. I will not specify things like the topic, questions and so on. Thi...

...then I am ready to move on...

I think I maybe addicted to challenges. Once I feel like I have settled, then I look for something new. Once I feel like it is done, then I want to do and achieve different things in life.
I worked in the education sector and felt so happy and satisfying with it. I was a primary school teacher for a few years and really did my best! Then I challenged myself and did my masters degree in the middle of getting acknowledgement for my contribution to the teaching profession. When I came back from m...

the experience in Endau Rompin National Park

Last weekend I had the chance to spend my weekend (28-31 May 2016) in the Endau-Rompin National Park. It was wonderful to be in a jungle to connect with nature. I was there to help assist an educational camp for Form 4 students. There were about 80 of them and UNITAR was invited to help the in the educational part of the camp. 8 of us from UNITAR went to the camp: 3 lecturers and 5 students.
I don't think I will describe in details what happened in the camp. Just a bit of what the students and...

...differently...

I sometimes can't believe how time flies... So fast...

now, it is already the end of my second semester as a lecturer. Being here in higher education institution  was never expected. I have enjoyed the time that i have had here. Yeah, full of opportunities to learn as well as full of challenges that sometimes exhaust me.

The part that I think is really important for me to grow myself, is the part that understands that learning will always take place in human lives. Wherever we are and what...

Birthday Update :D

It's been a while since I have been neglecting my blog. Not because I am too busy to write but because I found that writing is unnecessary for a while - mental block I guess.
Today I feel like it is better for me to do some updates. Yesterday was birthday! Yay!
New year, new age, new achievements I hope to gain and achieve this year. You never know what you will encounter and life goes on! Keep it up Hafiz - say me to myself...haha...
Yesterday was awesome, I got a phone call from my dad and mom...

4 seasons in the university!

So next week will be another beginning for a new semester. A new quest I guess. Interestingly teaching in a higher education institution is like living in a 4 seasons country.
Preparation Season (Spring) - I relate this time with the spring season because during this time, plants sprout and start to grow. It is the university preparation season, as lecturers start to prepare for the new semester. Preparation of the filing system, assessments for students, online management system and so on. St...

The BOE Experience

Yesterday (Saturday) was my final day to finish up my semester as a lecturer. Tomorrow will be the next step of my career. I am looking forward to the next challenges. I am not sure how and what will come my way, but I am getting quite curious to see what will happen.

My first Board of Examination (BOE), was quite nerve racking. It was actually okay but because it was my first experience I was a bit nervous about what would happen. In the BOE, we as lecturers need to present and discuss the re...

...questions...

Am I not trying hard enough or am I trying too hard? Am I being hard on myself or am I not being hard on myself? Have you ever thought about this?

Sometime when I want something that I really really want, I do not get it. But then when something comes along that I did not put any thought on suddenly it becomes mine. Have you experienced this?

Then you keep looking at the things that you did not get and your feelings of appreciation towards the things that you received start to fade.

Is it okay t...
