Cover Reveal for One Wild Night and Giveaway

This is the book that I went to the cover shoot for. The male model, Walter Veale, will be going to events with me this year, so keep a look out for him...ALL of him.
I get asked a lot, What is a serialized novel? A serialized novel is basically like a TV show. It’s broken up into episodes. Each story is about fifty pages long, perfect to read in one or two sittings. Each installment will come out every three weeks with six of them total in a season. Each episode will have its own story that will add to the big picture. The basis of One Wild Night is that Valerie Wilder wakes up married to a stripper in Vegas. Each episode follows that story with little plot twists and turns in between.
One Wild Night Can Change Everything
Valerie Wilder doesn’t do serious relationships. She also doesn’t usually wake up in Vegas next to a male stripper…
A male stripper who happens to be her new husband.
A quickie divorce seems like the answer, but the Nevada legal system doesn’t think so. When her new husband suggests flying back to Chicago with Valerie she accepts, wondering if one night in Vegas could turn into something much more.
Add it to your GoodReads now and get ready to get Wild on December 5th!

Fall Promo and Giveaway

Arianna always felt like she didn't belong in the world where she was born. Ever since she was little, she used to hide behind the rocks in the sea, and watch the human family who spent their summers on that island. Over the years, there was nothing she wished more than to be like them, especially so she could get close to Blake, the human boy who she saw turn into a troubled teenager and then, an unhappy man. Once her dad grew tired of her dreams and hopes for a reality that is not her own, Arianna is thrown into an arranged marriage, and her only way out of it is to make a deal with the power-hungry man who will give her everything that she has ever dreamed of. Dreams that turn into nightmares as she watches Blake's world fall apart, because of her and Blake's inability to control their desires for one another. (Due to sexual content and language, this book is recommended for 17+

She can’t understand why he suddenly gave up Boston’s music scene to return to the South. He doesn’t know her life depends on escaping it. Julianne must face down madness from without, just as it threatens from within. Isaac must resist an inappropriate attraction, but an indiscretion at a Mardi Gras ball-the pinnacle event for Mobile’s elite-forces their present wants and needs to collide with sins of the past.
Will Julianne accept the help she’s offered and get everything she ever wanted, or will she self-destruct and take Isaac down with her?

She has a tendency to psychoanalyze people, which comes in handy when creating character profiles. She has a fascination with teacher-student relationships, bullies, psychics, doomsday preppers and larger-than-life characters.
Making readers squirm is her greatest pleasure.

12 NA's of Christmas cover reveal!

Look at all the pretties!
I am very pleased to be a part of the 12 NA's of Christmas.
What is the 12 NA's of Christmas?
Want more about us? Check out the website!
12, best selling New Adult authors got together and decided to each write their own Christmas novella. Some have characters from their full length novels and some (like me) have a whole new cast of characters for you to fall in love with.
And here's my story...

*** This book is proud to be a part of The 12 NA's of Christmas ***
12 New Adult Novellas. 12 Best Selling Authors. November 2013.
Etta Davis didn't have showing a house penciled into her Christmas plans, but with the other realtors already off enjoying their holiday, she'd been stuck with the task. It wasn't all bad though, the house up for grabs used to belong to the family of her high school sweetheart, Andrew Larson. Though now dilapidated, thanks to its current owners, it still held the power to bring back forgotten memories and turn the routine showing into something else entirely. Particularly when Andrew shows up, wanting to buy the house. Now Etta must decide whether a second chance is worth taking the house, and her heart, off the market.

And how about a little teaser?
Ghost of Christmas PastETTAI believe it was Thomas Wolfe who said “you can’t go home again.” Obviously Mr. Wolfe’s dad didn’t have a massive heart attack while he was away at college, forcing him to move back home to help out. Which is exactly why I’m stuck spending another Christmas Eve showing houses. Real Estate seemed like a safe career, that would keep me around to help my mom, but I didn’t expect the housing market to crumble so bad.The snow fell heavily around my Toyota, blanketing the entire neighborhood in a white sheet. As the snow crunched under my tires, I cursed myself for answering my co-worker’s desperate call."Myra, it's Christmas Eve, who even wants to see a house on a holiday?" I asked. Not that I really had anything better to do on Christmas Eve. Mom was visiting her sister in Florida and without a family of my own, I was stuck staying at my sister’s. If I had to hear one more realtor joke from my brother-in-law, I would probably gouge his eyes out with one of the icicle lights from the Christmas tree.Myra never answered my question. She was too busy yelling at her kids after I heard the sound of shattering glass, so she blurted out the address almost too fast for me to write down, and was off the phone."Figures I'd be going back to my old neighborhood on Christmas," I muttered, glancing down at the directions. When Pine Hill subdivision was built, it was the Mecca for all the suburban families south of St. Louis; with its never ending sidewalks, cookie-cutter two-story homes, and plenty of yard space for all of the neighborhood kids to run around in.That was before the economic down turn. Now Pine Hill was just like every other subdivision in town: rows of foreclosed homes with overgrown bushes and paint chipping from the wood siding. The particular house that I was showing had been on the market for almost a year and was one that I was very familiar with. It was the house of my high school boyfriend, Andrew Lawson. The very guy whose heart I broke when I moved to California for school and didn’t want a long distance relationship. I could have gotten back in contact with him when I moved back to Missouri, but it just didn’t seem right. I couldn’t go running back to him and expect everything to stay the same. So I cowardly did everything I could to avoid him. I never went back to all of the places that we used to hang out in high school and tried never to show houses in Pine Hill. That was before I found out his parents moved not too long ago. A lot had changed in the past two years.Driving down his old street was like going back in time. I could see my sixteen-year-old self, walking down the sidewalk on a hot Missouri day, my legs freshly tanned from spending all day at the lake, just hoping Andrew would stop his basketball game and take one look at me. When he finally did catch a glance he'd usually stop his game, sweep me in his arms, and give me a hard kiss on the mouth, right in front of all of his friends and the neighbors. For good luck, he always said.I sighed. That was ages ago. Other men rarely looked at me and certainly not the way Andrew used to. I broke it off with Andrew right after graduation. I was headed to college and he planned to stay and take over his father's business. He begged me to stay, pleaded that I could go to school somewhere closer. Of course I didn’t listen. Why didn’t I listen? Now I was living in my mother’s basement and working on Christmas Eve. I was really moving up in the world.

Fall Promo Kristie Cook

Leni Drago can't make a smart decision on her own, according to her mother anyway--the few times she's tried resulted in disaster. When her uncle sends her on a dance tour in Italy to find her real self, she returns to an empty home and any evidence of his existence wiped out. Then things get even stranger, like the mysterious appearances of Jeric Winters--inked, pierced and a hit-'em-and-quit-'em type. He's one decision that should be easy for Leni. Or is he?
Jeric doesn't do girlfriends. Unless they're someone else's. He left the fighting cage and modeling for a reason, and girls who want more than a night of fun are distractions he doesn't need. Especially when they come with as much baggage as Leni carries. But he can't shake the gut feeling that he needs to know her. All of her.
To discover the truth behind their connection and their ties to a journal from 1989, they must face painful secrets from their pasts. And they must do so quickly because their own existences are falling to pieces.
This first part of The Book of Phoenix takes you on a heart-wrenching ride as you discover the answers that lie in The Space Between.

The Space Between , consistently one of the top rated New Adult books on Amazon, kicks off her second New Adult paranormal series, The Book of Phoenix. Besides writing, Kristie enjoys reading, cooking, traveling and riding on the back of a motorcycle. She has lived in ten states, but currently calls Southwest Florida home with her husband, three sons, a beagle, and a juggle. The Only One in John Boy's POV
1000 ADDS ON GOODREAD? OH MY STARS! You are all amazing. and to celebrate, I've written John and Melanie's first meeting from John's POV. Keep in mind, it's unedited, but I think you'll get a real hint into the eyes of John Boy. Enjoy! And guess what else? THURSDAY is release day! EEEK. So close!
Halloween parties at the Alpha Mu house are always amateur hour. Girls half dressed meant more random guys groping them, somehow thinking that feeling up a girl in a bunny costume was the way to get them in bed. No matter how drunk a girl is, that shit doesn’t fly. Missy and some of the other Kappas had been on my ass all night. Maybe the loincloth was a bad idea. I spotted her near the bar, standing up on her tip toes with her eyes wide and searching the room for me. I had to get away as fast as possible. I made a beeline behind a group of girls in lingerie, glancing back to make sure she didn’t see me. My bare chest hit something warm and then I felt a cold pool of liquid spill down my abs before I heard a gasp. I looked down and met a gorgeous pair of green eyes. It took me a minute before I could place the wide-eyed girl. She was the manager at the coffee shop in the student center. The girl barely ever looked at me. She was the only one that didn’t care if I smiled at her or said anything. Most girls I didn’t even have to talk to. They just threw themselves at me and hoped I’d fuck them. This girl was the only one who ever blew me off. My eyes trailed down to wear a giant red spot soaked through her sweater. A gray sweater. Fuck me, she was wearing a Hermione costume. Not the slutty ones they sell at those overpriced Halloween stores. This one was full on authentic Hermione with the gray sweater, Gryffindor scarf, and gray skirt. And she looked even hotter than the real thing. I didn’t usually make the first move on a girl, but for this girl I made an exception. I leaned over and whispered into her ear, making a suggestion she should come up to my room. She whimpered. An amazing sound that came from her full lips. “Down, John Boy!” Before the girl had a chance to answer, Trey’s boyfriend, Monica jumped in between us, her eyes narrowed at me like she was about to bite my head off like some rabid Chihuahua. Thank God Trey swooped in and calmed her down. With my height and size I wasn’t afraid of too many people, but I didn’t put it past Monica to attack me. “John Boy spilled a drink on Melanie to try and get her naked!” Monica yelled. Melanie. That was her name. And I wasn’t trying to get her naked, but since she mentioned it I couldn’t help but let my eyes graze over Melanie. She was petite and had just the right amount of curves. I wouldn’t have minded peeling off that sweater and seeing what she was hiding under those layers. They went on arguing about me and Melanie, but I didn’t care what they were saying. All I cared about was staring at the beautiful girl before me and thinking how bad I wanted to run my fingers through her curly hair. “John Boy, do you have an extra shirt that Monica’s friend can borrow?” Trey asked. I couldn’t help but grin. Getting her out of her costume was exactly what I had in mind. I glanced over at Melanie whose face was bright red. I wasn’t used to girls getting embarrassed. And I loved that I had that effect on her. "What do you say, Melanie, care to come up to my room?" Her face flushed even redder and her bright green eyes met mine. At that moment I knew I was a goner for those eyes and when she bit her bottom lip, I never wanted someone so bad. I had to stop staring at her lips or I’d have a giant boner that the whole party would see in my loincloth. "Great, we're coming with." Monica glared at me before grabbing Melanie’s arm and dragging her toward the stairs. I followed after them, not willing to give up on the girl. Fuck, who was I? I didn’t chase after girls this hard. She was definitely different. Definitely someone I wanted to get to know. Monica charged up the steps, yanking Melanie with her like she was on a mission. I didn’t even know if she cared I was behind her. Until she looked back. Right at me. The smile on her face made my whole body come alive. Every muscle. Every nerve. It was all hyper aware of the beautiful girl in front of me. I did the only thing I could think to do and I winked. That caused her to smile even wider before she looked forward again. Trey slipped past me like some fucking, stealth republican super hero and then slid onto Monica’s side. They went on with their political banter the whole way up to the second floor. I thought since they were talking that meant Melanie would look back at me. Something. Throw me a bone. But she didn’t. She never looked back. By the time they stopped at my door, I was more than ready to work the charm on Melanie. I walked past her, making sure to brush against her arm as I walked to my door. Of course I didn’t realize how much of an effect her touch would have on me. Just feeling her soft skin against me instantly made every hair on my body stand on end and a warm sensation fill my stomach. She had a floral yet fruity scent that wafted from her hair and neck that smelled amazing. It was like the smell of spring and I wanted to wrap myself in that scent and never lead. I swallowed hard, trying to regain my composure and opened the door. I really needed to clean the place. Usually the girls that I hooked up with didn’t care if my room was a mess. They only cared about getting on my futon and getting off. Of course Monica had to point out the messiness of my room. The girl was out to clock block me. I had to make up for it, so I leaned down and whispered to Melanie. I tried to keep my focus on her, but I found my eyes trailing to wear the red drink soaked through her sweater and was pressed against her skin. I wanted to peel it off and lick the red drink right off of her stomach. I said the first thing that came to me. “Some girls prefer things a little out of order. What do you think about it, Red?” I winked, hoping she didn’t think I was a complete creeper and ran out of my room. She looked up at me, her eyes wide and cheeks almost as red as her sweater. I had her. “Red?” she asked, her voice coming out as a shaky breath. God she had a sexy voice. It flowed like honey and I wanted to taste it. “Yeah, you know, because of what’s soaking through that lovely sweater.” I couldn’t help but look back at her shirt and then to meet her gaze. This girl had me wrapped around her finger and she didn’t even know it. Of course Monica cock blocked again, jumping in between us and asking me to get her a shirt. I groaned but reluctantly went to my closet and dug through my dresser for a shirt. I pulled out the first shirt I could find and tossed it at Monica. When I stood back up, Monica had lip curled, holding the shirt up. “Seriously? You expect Melanie to walk around wearing this?” “What? That’s a nice one. Usually girls have to do a lot more than just get a drink spilled on them to get one of my shirts.” I cringed inwardly as I said it. Great, now Melanie probably thought I was some random douche bag that hooked up with every girl in sight. Okay. Maybe I did do that but I wanted it to be different with her. If I could get past Monica. I tried to talk to Melanie again, but as soon as I got the chance Monica was already ushering her out the door and up to the third floor bathroom. Fuck. I couldn’t lose my chance with her. I glanced over my shoulder before I headed down the stairs, praying that wouldn’t be the last time I’d see her and she’d come back to the party. And if she didn’t come back, I knew I couldn’t stop seeing her. She was the only one to ever make me feel like I wanted more than a hook up and I didn’t want to lose her. No matter what.
