Sometimes, when you’re writing, you hit the point where you just want to give up. On the current story, maybe, or maybe even on writing altogether. We’ve all been there, I promise. Stop! Hold everything!
Just officially noting that blogging is temporarily on hold due to the following:
Happy upcoming solstice, end of financial year, and whatever else there is to celebrate. I’ll be back at some point, although we are also moving house in 6 weeks, so life is rather chaotic. In the meantime, be good, have fun, and go read all the free stories up on the Darkness & Good site

Edited to Add: I have no idea why the images keep coming out sideways. They are fine when I import them, but then when I stick them in the post they go sideways and I can’t rotate them. Grrrr. Sorry.

Random Lunch Recipe: Pear Salad
Because it’s autumn here and this was just the thing for a lovely, sunny, bright and breezy day 
Ingredients (per person)
A large double handful of baby spinach leaves, torn
1 beurre bosc pear (or one with similar soft texture), cubed
50g of soft feta (more or less), crumbled
1T pecans, roughly crushed
1T black cherry vinegar*
1 med-large strawberry
Salt and pepper to taste
Method
Finely chop or puree strawberry with vinegar. Let steep. Meanwhile, combine all other ingredients and gently toss...

An Ode To Scrivener
At least, it would be if I had the brain power to write an ode right now. I’m at the point of tired + pregnancy hormones where I tried to lock the kid’s fridge at preschool with my car key last week. Oops.
