The more streamlined and compact your white matter is, the faster and more efficiently your brain functions. The real enemy is sedentarism… Just a little bit of movement every day helps preserve the integrity of your brain’s white matter.

The Manifesto: The Economics of Enough

In 2008, financial markets around the world plunged. Back then, I was living in the USA and I still remember people talking everywhere about the Great Depression.

This crisis has proven a catalyst for many people to ask questions about the economy and the multiple changes the leading industrial economy are facing. There are challenges like the erosion of trust, and obstacles since there’s any response from the political framework and institutions. Even though economic growth doesn’t increase h...

Living an authentic life is about feeling that you’re on the right path, and that no matter what comes your way, you have the right to say ‘yes’ to the things you want, and ‘no’ to the things which don’t serve you.

Ask Yourself In The Most Silent Hour Of Your Night: Must I Write?

Letters to a Young Poetis a collection of ten letters written by Bohemian-Austrian poet Rainer Maria Rilke to Franz Xaver Kappus, a 19-year old officer cadet. Rilke, the son of an Austrian army officer, had studied at the academy’s lower school in the 1890s. Kappus corresponded with the popular poet and author from 1902 to 1908 seeking his advice as to the quality of his poetry, and in deciding between a literary career or a career as an officer in the Austro-Hungarian Army. Kappus compiled a...

Quote of the day

By putting half-formed thoughts on the page, we externalize them and are able to evaluate them much more objectively. This is why writers often find that it’s only when they start writing that they figure out what they want to say.

The first thing I thought when I read the headline ‘Women don’t need men anymore’ in a newspaper is:

First.

Who said that statement is a woman. And I was right.

Second.

She must be French. And I was right.

Third.

She is either old or a mature one. And I was wrong.
