They are adorable!

Time to Learn

She loved Goodreads.

I watched a video a couple of days ago and an author, who's name I think was Karen, though I'm not sure about that, sang the praises of the platform.

I used to spend time here back when I first started to write novels. I think all the focus on trying to "quit the day job" led to GoodReads falling through the cracks.

It's changed quite a bit since I last came here regularly.

“I take many things seriously. Rudyard Kipling, Harper Lee, Oscar Wilde, and Elmore Leonard are all held in the highest regard. I am dead serious when I discuss the many reasons that Ernest Hemingway’s greatest contribution to literature was his generous decision to take his own life. I will not be sucked into a discussion of politics by people who prefer emotion to reason. The designated hitter is an abomination, and the day pitchers and catchers report is the start of the new year despite what those ill-informed calendar makers might try to tell you.” “I”
Brian D. Meeks, Underwood, Scotch, and Wry

“Perception is our reality, viewed through the lens of what we believe. It has only a passing resemblance to the truth.”
Brian D. Meeks, Henry Wood Perception

“Harsh would have been to point out that these dregs of social media really were the reason their parents divorced and have likely caused global warming by exhaling C02. They should die.” Wen”
Brian D. Meeks, Underwood, Scotch, and Wry

“CHAPTER SIX Nash found Calvin sipping coffee and doing his bookwork. “You got any of that mud left?” “It’s a new pot. Help yourself.” Nash poured himself a cup and sat down across from his friend. “How’s business?” “It’s the same...always the same. It’s not like we get any tourists around here.” “Frank’s recruiting a couple dozen new mappers.” Calvin nodded. “It seems like strange timing.” “You think he’s up to something?” “Maybe,” Nash allowed. “Could it be you’re paranoid? It seems to me we’ve spent a fair number of mornings right here with me counting”

Hey there. :-) I'm just getting to the point where I make Goodreads a part of my daily routine. I'm mostly a Twitter guy, but every week I'm becoming more of a fan.

Douglas Wickard Brian, thanks for your Goodreads friendship!
