Tell Me I Suck

Hello Rebel, and welcome back to my life.

I hate it when someone tells me I suck—and I also actively pursue people who will do that exact thing.

Not pursue people. I don’t—I don’t chase them. I seek them out and try to form a relationship—you get the idea.

GIVEAWAY! Darkfire is coming!

Hello Rebel, and welcome back to my life.

Today’s video is like the first five books in the Nightblade Epic: it comes to you in four parts.

Okay, I think we can all acknowledge that that intro was terrible. But it was my first multi-part video intro, so cut me some slack.

Mystic is HERE!

Hello Rebel, and welcome back to my life.

It’s a book release day! Or rather, a relaunch day. But that’s still cause for celebration. Which I feel like I, personally, need right now.

So this right here is the first-ever printed copy of my novel Mystic. It’s the second book in the Nightblade Epic, the series that enabled me to become a full-time author.

So You Gave Donald A Chance.

Hello Rebel, and welcome back to my life.

So are we done giving Donald a chance yet?

In the lead-up to the election, speaking—or, let’s be honest, arguing—with people who I’d thought were relatively clear-headed and intelligent up to that point, “give him a chance” was a common refrain.

The other was that despite the fact that he said he wanted to do criminal things, and despite the fact that they believed him, they didn’t think he’d actually be able to do so because the Constitution wouldn’t let him.

Because yeah. Let’s vote for someone who wants to do evil things because we think he won’t be able to do so. That just makes … so much sense.

Getting Book Reviews

Hello Rebel, and welcome back to my life.

A thing is very close to happening in my life that unfortunately hasn’t happened for a few months now.

I am on the cusp of completing the restoration edits I’ve been doing on my books, and once they’re done, I’m going to begin work on my next new book.

Very exciting, of course. I can’t wait to write the book. I can’t wait for you to read it.

Diverse Storytelling IS Good Storytelling

Hello Rebel, and welcome back to my life.

So if you know me, you know that I’m all about the diversity in the writing and the publishing.

But this being the internet, a lot of people are NOT into the diversity. They think that including diverse characters and voices from diverse storytellers is censorship. Somehow.

Thanks, Obama.

Hello Rebel, and welcome back to my life.

Well, I guess we should talk about the fact that today is the last full day of Barack Obama’s Presidency.

Obama’s first election was the first election I paid much attention to, though I didn’t vote in it.

I was 22 years old, and still very much in that “I’m too cool to believe that voting actually matters,” phase of my life.
