Still more requests for review copies of Nightblade coming in.

The problem with reaching out to YouTubers, as with so many things in the self-publishing world, is delayed gratification. I have problems with delayed gratification (I’m sure many people do). I make a YouTube video, I’m getting views, likes and comments within minutes. I broadcast a game on Twitch, and people are in the comments talking to me while I play.

OH MY GOD IT’S COMING!!!

Good morning, Rebels, and welcome back to my life.

So I want to make a very important announcement about something happening next Friday, i.e. exactly one week from today.

Have I mentioned that I write books?

Meghan’s had a bunch more responses from YouTubers asking for copies of Nightblade. We’ve shipped out almost ten of them, which is just great. Now we’re going to keep track of their channels and see who actually reviews it, and if they do, we want to send them a copy of Mystic immediately.

NEW BOOK: Mystic Episode Six

Xain has taken Annis to certain peril, and Loren is desperate to get her back. Only Gem has her full trust, for the Mystics Jordel and Vivien each have their own agenda—and Loren cannot be sure they have Annis’ best interests at heart.

But she has precious little choice but to trust them, and so together they set into the streets of Wellmont to find Xain before he disappears with Annis forever. As war darkens every horizon, and the sellswords in the north grow ever closer, Loren must escape the city walls that surround her—before they become a prison from which even the Nightblade cannot escape.

Fan Fiction

Good morning Rebels, and welcome back to my life.

I think I’ve talked about this on the vlog before and I know I’ve discussed it on the podcast, but the first writing I ever did as a wee lad was fan fiction.

There is a game called Warhammer. It’s a tabletop battle game with little miniatures that you assemble and paint and then play huge battles with massive armies, it’s very fun.

I was super into Warhammer and the sci-fi version, Warhammer 40,000, and what drew me to the game wasn’t just the game itself but the story world that surrounded the game.

I got so obssessed with this world that I started writing stories in it, and in high school I wrote about a quarter of a million words of Warhammer fan fiction.
