So I Read Mistborn
Good morning Rebels, and welcome back to my life.
On my recent trip to Austin, Texas I asked many of you what books you thought I should read. And more than one of you suggested Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson.
Believe it or not, I’ve never read a Sanderson book before, which I’m told is basically blasphemy for a fantasy author. Sorry. But I fixed it now!

A Talk on Censorship
Good morning Rebels and welcome back to my life.
Yesterday’s video was a perfect little springboard for a much broader topic: the topic of censorship.
Censorship is really, really tricky. There’s different types of censorship. There’s different levels of censorship.
At its most basic level, what is the actual meaning of the word censorship?

The Clean Reader App
Good morning Rebels and welcome back to my life.
Gotta tell you about a little app I found out about recently that’s frankly horrifying to me as an author.
It’s called the Clean Reader app, and if you’ve never heard of it, it’s basically a little app you can install on a mobile device and then read ebooks THROUGH.
In other words it will take ebook files and open them up, as opposed to reading them in the Kindle app or iBooks app or whatever.

So I Read Paper Towns
Good morning Rebels, and welcome back to my life.
Really quick: thank you for your kind words about Writer Wednesdays so far. I’m always just a little bit nervous when I try out a new thing, and feedback from you guys helps me know if what I’m doing is worth it. So, thank you.
Last week I read John Green’s book Paper Towns, only my second John Green novel ever, in anticipation of the movie coming out in July.

How to Get What We Want
Good morning Rebels, and welcome back to my life.
So Hank Green wrote about YouTube recently in an article for Medium that I want to talk about.
I don’t know if you know this, but YouTube creators in general are not making a huge ton of cash.

The Only Writing Trick There Is (WRITER WEDNESDAYS)
Good morning Rebels, and welcome back to my life.
It’s Writer Wednesday, the day we discuss tips and tricks for writing gooder. Have I mentioned that I write books? Like, for money?
It’s very popular to say you have a useful writing “trick” to share, but I’m going to tell you a hard truth today. There are almost no writing “tricks.” ALMOST.
