Hey, gang. Happy Friday. Two things, real quick:
1.) I just finished the draft of the latest Wizard story. For those who've wanted more history, more drama, more battle scars, I think you will be temporarily satisfied. I hope you like it. It went someplace I was NOT anticipating, as all my stories seem to do. (It's magic, I swear.) I've emailed it to my better half to read, then I'll proof, format, upload, etc. Right now it's about 3600 words, so it's more than twice as long as the first Wizard.
2.) Author Stacy Juba is hosting my guest blog on her site as part of her 25 Years Ago Today series of posts. Go and have a read, if you'd like. It's about the things in life that turn people like me—and the survivors of the Henryville tornado—into writers. I hope while you're there you'll follow the link and donate to the Red Cross. It means a lot to me.
2.5) I uploaded TBD to Smashwords last night! It'll be back on Nook, iTunes, Kobo, etc. again soon. Of course, you can always download epub format directly from Smashwords! So easy.
Click the wizard picture (completely boss) to download the first Wizard story, free in all formats.

What an amazing piece of artwork! Man, I wish I could do that kind of thing.
If I could, though, I probably wouldn't write.
HEY. Guess who has two thumbs & finished outlining That Crackling Silence today?
This girl.
This story has been so many years in the making, I hope you'll just love it as much as I have. It is very gratifying having so many great comments about the first half of the story (This Brilliant Darkness). I hope you'll enjoy the resolution, as well. I really, really do. Because I don't think you'll see it coming.
*Muha. Muhaha. Muhahahahahahahahaaaaa…*
Yeah, that's my best Dr. Evil laugh.
Have a happy Thursday.
