Powerful, moving film about grief camp.
This is worth the watch! It captures the healing power of connection and finding others who share a similar experience. I was a counselor at a different grief camp, Camp Forget Me Not, and this film reminded me of the activities, the conversations, the laughter and fun, the sad and touching moments, the healing connection that happens when kids are with other kids who've experienced a major loss.

Calling all Teens!
Sharing this new request from grieving teens to other grieving teens:
We are working with a group of teens to develop a resource for teens who are grieving. They would like to hear from other teens. Please share with any teen who would like to add their voice.
Hello! We are the members of the National Alliance for Children's Grief (NACG) Teen Workgroup. We are a group that consists of all teenagers and we are working on creating a grief resource for teens by teens. We are developing a multi-use journal that can be used after a loss and we would love to get your input! We are wanting to include quotes from other teens who have experiences in grief to help folks understand they are not alone. We also want to share some things that others have found out about grief along their journey.
The questions in the link below are the topics that we would like to include in the book. Please know you do NOT have to fill out every question on the form, we encourage you to only fill out the question(s) you feel comfortable answering. Your first name, age, and state will be printed next to your quote so others know these are from real teenagers like themselves.
Thank you for your help and we invite you to forward the link to this form to other teens who may want to share about their grief journey.

Teenage Grief Sucks
Teenage Grief Sucks is a (relatively new) website full of valuable resources and support for grieving teens. I encourage you to check it out if you are a teen experiencing grief, a teen who wants to support a grieving friend, a teacher or a parent of a grieving teen or a counselor who wants to better understand teen grief.
I was so pleased to read this new review of my book penned by Natalie Adams, who started the website after her own father's death.

Teen Art exhibit and contest -- Healing Through Creativity
For a grieving teen, the creative process can provide an outlet for self-expression and an opportunity to be heard by others. These works were submitted to the Awards' New York Life Award, as part of the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, which recognizes the stories of young people and their experiences with losing a loved one. The link below provides exhibit locations.
