They said a couple of things that are total bull shit -but the most important thing is that they loved the book. That and there's naked chicks on the next page.

IRON MAIDEN AND MARIJUANA

I took this photo of the index in my book. As you can see, Iron Maiden was mentioned 5 times and marijuana 9 times. I hope you're ready for 256 pages of fun!

THE BOOK

My editor got the very first copy of the actual hard cover finished product today. She called me when it came in but I was on an 11 mile run. By the time I got home the office was closed. A very fitting place to be when such things happen is all one with my running shoes.

New York City just doesn't look the same until you've seen it on two feet.

One step closer to making my dreams come true.

BAD IDEA + $ = GOOD IDEA

The difference between a good idea and a bad idea is money. When you spend two years on a project that does nothing but cost you money, all those eye rolls from friends and family begin to ad up.

Take the pet rock for instance. This idea was conceived drunk in a bar in 1975 by a fellow by the name of Gary Dahl. He was sick of his friends complaining about their pets so he came up with the idea of a pet that didn't eat drink or shit. The pet rock was born. He sold 1.5 million pet rocks in a matter of six months. The Pet Rock was bought by the Mego corperation in 2009 and is still produced till this day. (Mego coincidentally was the creator of the most famous version of the KISS dolls from the mid-70′s. Speaking of KISS, I'm sure they were laughed at more than a few times when they told their friends they were going to paint their faces, wear 8 inch platform heels, and run around half naked playing Rock n Roll.)

On any given night in a bar we can each come up with dozens of ideas and forget all about them the next day. It takes real guts to turn your idea into a career.

My bad idea hits shelves all over North America in 27 days. What's your bad idea? Leave comments below!

CLOCK IN

Somewhere in the grand scheme of history someone came up with the incredibly stupid idea known as "salary." When it comes to your body, you are on an hourly wage. You can't give up when you think you've given them their money's worth.

Never Stop.

DIET IS A 4 LETTER WORD

The word "diet" is evil. It insinuates something temporary. An easy way out.

"Oh I'm just going to do this thing for a while until it changes my life and then I don't have to do it anymore."

I risk of the entire world realizing, (or most likely not), that they have no sense of humor, this is the exact reason why I named my book "The Drunk Diet." I was fed up! I'd had enough! Hundreds of new books each year with that word in their title all promising a life changing miracle with minimal effort.

If you want to go back to exactly the way you lived your life before your "diet" you'll go back to the exact same waist line as well. The Oprah effect. Or as I call it, "The Up and Down Diet."

If you really want your life to be different, you have to be willing to change things forever. Therefore you're not on a diet, you're on the rest of your life and there's no looking back!
