How to Set Up Dropdown Menus in Drupal 8

A few years ago, we published a very popular post called "How to Create Dropdown Menus in Drupal".

That post focused on Drupal 7, but many of its key points have not changed in Drupal 8.

Here are the key things you need to know about themes and dropdown menus:

How to Use the Breeze Theme in Drupal 8

Breeze is a design that we make available as a Joomla template and a WordPress theme. Now, finally, it's available as a Drupal 8 theme!

We use Breeze as an example in many of our video classes and books.

By using the same design, it makes it easy for OSTraining members to see differences and similarities between the various platforms.

Breeze is fully responsive and uses the Bootstrap framework.

New Class: Introduction to Object Oriented PHP

We're delighted to launch an important new class called, "Introduction to Object Oriented PHP".

Object oriented programming (OOP) is the most popular model used by PHP developers.
You'll find object oriented code in most major CMS's and platforms. Joomla has relied on OOP since version 1.5. Drupal 8 was completely rewritten, in part to introduce OOP principles.

In this class, you'll learn the fundamentals of OOP and, in particular, how they apply to PHP.

Why Are There No New Drupal 8 Themes?

Back in January this year, we talked about Drupal 8 themes. At that time, there were 86 themes for Drupal 8 on Drupal.org.

9 months later? There are only 133 themes for Drupal 8.

In the whole of 2016, we've added only 47 themes for Drupal 8.
