What is a HAR file and How Is It Generated?

HAR files are great for providing additional information about HTTP requests.

Sometimes, when I'm troubleshooting issues on sites, we ask users to send us a HAR file. These are really useful for debugging difficult issues.

New Class: How to Develop Joomla Plugins

For quite some time, Joomla development has been the most popular request from OSTraining members. I'm glad to say that we are answering those requests!

Reusable Images and Files with Media Bundles in Drupal

Come to Drupal 8 Day on November 19th!

Drupal 8 launched in November 2015 and is maturing into a really powerful platform.

To celebrate Drupal 8, we are holding an online event on November 19th, the first anniversary of Drupal 8's release. This will be the perfect day to celebrate Drupal 8.

The event is called "Drupal 8 Day" and is an online version of a Drupal Camp.

It will be a day of live presentations and is 100% free to attend.

Upload PDF, Excel, Word Files to Drupal Content

An OSTraining member asked how he could attach files such as PDFs, Excel Documents, Word Documents to his content. 

There are many ways to do this in Drupal, but the easiest approach is to use the "File" field.

Login to your Drupal site.
Go to Structure > Content types.
You either add the field to an existing content type, or you can create a new one for specifically adding the files:
