Absolute Beginners Guide to AngularJS

One of our predictions for 2014 was that traditional CMSs will become much more reliant on Javascript.

That predicition is coming true, and AngularJS is at the forefront of this change.

Angular was created by Google. Its goal is to add model–view–controller (MVC) capabilities to web applications so that both development and testing become easier.

In this video, Douglas walks you through the fundamentals of Angular so that you'll have a good idea of how Angular works and a clear understanding of how to get started.

Contextual Filters and Arguments in Drupal

Sometimes the name you give something is really important.

In Drupal 6, a key feature in Views was called "arguments". This term made perfect sense to developers, but caused plenty of raised eyebrows amongst news users.

Both the name and location of this feature has changed in Drupal 7. Arguments are now called "Contextual filters".

Here's an introduction to arguments and contextual filters. We'll show you why they are so useful, whatever they may be called.
