New Video Class: Moving a Joomla Website
As a web developer, you might develop a site locally on your own computer or on a test server but at some point, you need to move it to where it will be accessible by the public. Sometimes you just need to move a site from one server to another.
There are several methods of doing this, but probably the most fool-proof is the solution provided by Akeeba Backup. Akeeba's tools take care of the backup and restore process for you!
In this class called "Moving a Joomla Website", Rod shows you how to use both the free version and the pro versions of Akeeba Backup and the restore program, Kickstart, to get your sites moved in record time.
If you're not familiar with Akeeba Backup, you can take a learn about it in our newly updated Akeeba Backup Class.

How Do I Get a Job in Drupal?
Are you looking for a job? Have you considered working in the Drupal world?
Several OSTraining members have. They wondered about the skills they would need and the income level they could expect.
To give you an overview of what it takes to make a living in the Drupal world, we spoke with Mike Anello. Mike is a long-time Drupal contributor, based near us in Orlando, Florida. If you've ever seen a Dries keynote address at a Drupal, Mike is often the person asking Dries questions at the end.
One of my key takeaways from talking with Mike - the Drupal jobs are out there, but companies are now expecting applicants to bring more than just Drupal knowledge.

Why I Use BackupBuddy for WordPress Backups
I first used BackupBuddy about 4 years ago. At the time I was using it as a migration tool because it had excellent built-in search and replace tools. Over the years I’ve kept my eye on the plugin and watched it grow from a rudimentary backup plugin to an extremely powerful tool that integrates with a variety of other plugins.
I’ve actually been using BackWPup on my own site for some months now, and it got me thinking that I should review other options, so I recently did tutorial series on both BackWPup and BackupBuddy.

Day 1 Review of Mautic: Marketing Automation
It no longer seems fashionable to release large, fully-featured, open source platforms. It's much more common for developers to release small libraries or frameworks.
Mautic is rare - it is a brand new, open source platform with a ton of features. It's also unusual because it focuses on marketing, an industry often ignored by open source developers.
Mautic is a marketing automation platform, competing with the likes of HubSpot, Pardot and Silverpop. Many of those commercial products are hosted (so you can't modify them easily) and extraordinarily expensive.
Is there opportunity for an open source rival to HubSpot? Absolutely. Can Mautic seize that opportunity? Let's find out ...

Recover from a Lost Drupal Administration Menu
We've taught a LOT of people to use Drupal 7 over the last 4 years and one bug comes up more than any other.
When enabling large new modules such as CTools via the admin interface, it's not uncommon for other modules to become unpublished.
When those modules are unpublished, people often lose access for to the administration menu. Needless to say, that's not a helpful situation for beginners.
So, here's a quick guide to recovering from a lost Drupal administration menu.
