Tattoo Tuesday - Parker Hurley (model)

Parker Hurley is a 25 yr. old artist, nerd, gamer, pancake enthusiast and model. He is currently living in LA pursuing an acting career. <-- Facebook bio.

He's also sexy, flirty, has a lot of different looks and has some interesting tattoos, not the least of which are the turquoise circles on his back. In an interview he said "they give me strength and balance where I need it most." They also apparently have something to do with the brain surgery he had. Now on to the pretty.

Music Monday - HURT

HURT was formed in the early 2000's. They have five albums, the latest released this year called "The Crux". I don't really know a lot about them except they came out of Virginia but their music sounds very European to me. It could just be J. Loren Wince's voice (which I love) but something in their sound reminds me of bands like Apocalyptica. I prefer their slower, more emotional songs, but that's nothing unusual for me. Not a lot of videos out there for these guys and only one so-called official ones but hope you enjoy anyway.

Falls Apart (yeah video has a typo) acoustic
(I love the normal version too - it's actually my fave song of theirs)

Ten Ton Brick (one of their harder songs)

World Ain't Right featuring one of my fave singers, Shaun Morgan of Seether. Beautiful song.

How We End up Alone (lol - no, that's not the band)

Tattoo Tuesday - Adam Gontier & some music

Adam Gontier from Three Days Grace (good Canadian boy :P). He's tall, sexy, tattooed and his voice gives me goosebumps... everywhere. He's tricky to find pics of besides his arms but you make due with what you have, right?

Significant tattoos include
- Grace across the knuckles of his right hand in the exact font from Jeff Buckley's (who drown in 1997) album Grace.
- A solid black band on his right forearm with the lyrics to "Never to Late"
- A photo of his wife tattooed on his left arm and a tribute to his grandmother underneath.
- There are others including 2 on his chest but like I said, the dude rarely takes his shirt off. :) And you know I'm gonna post a couple of my fave songs too, right?

PS if your ever get a chance to see Three Days Grace in concert - DO! - they're awesome.

I just love his mic stand in this pic. :)

From their debut album "Three Days Grace"

From the album "One-X"

Music Monday - Cassidy Haley

Cassidy Haley started out as a designer and founder of the company Skin.Graf - described as "raw underground fashion and sleek high-end couture". Celebrities such as Adam Lambert, David Cook and Fergie were amongst the fans of the line. He sold his half in 2009 to go into music.

He's quirky, flamboyant, sexy and has a unique voice. His music became more known when his friend, Adam Lambert, tweeted about Cassidy's new music video. I like his sound, the edgy creativity in his videos, his independent spirit and how he doesn't shy away from being openly gay in his videos. Oh and he's really easy on the eyes, too. Have a peek.

First some eye candy - yeah I know it's about the music
but he's so beautiful and he wears guyliner (so shoot me)

On another note, Cassidy also has an online magazine called The Catalyst - here's what he said about the mission of the magazine. "The Catalyst Magazine is dedicated to exploring the art and culture that will be the catalyst for humanity's inevitable triumph in this game of life. This is a rapidly evolving world and the answers lie beyond the surface of mainstream culture. The prophets and shamans who will lead us through are waiting in the underground." It's actually quite interesting. This month's cover story is Willam Belli from RuPaul's Drag Race. Check it out.

New Contract, excerpt & tattoo problems

<-- That right there is a tattoo I really want - maybe with some background added in. I've always loved wolves and it sort of resembles my dog's face that I lost last year.

And in other tattoo news, I'm looking to turn my simple Red Hot Chili Peppers logo tattoo into a mandala tattoo. Basically a mandala can have certain symbolism behind it, there are celtic, chakra, etc. or it can just be things woven together that represent parts of a person. I want to work outward from my Peppers tattoo, maybe fill in the middle with another layer of the logo. My problem is I cannot draw or design to save my life and I'm hoping someone might be willing to offer me some assistance. I know I have some artistic friends out there. Thoughts? Anyhow - on to the next part of the blog.

I'm thrilled to say that my shifter/witch/gypsy/etc paranormal series - at least the first book - has been accepted for publication by MLR Press. I've been working hard on Lucius' Bite and it's my longest story to date (not counting that 90k one I started three years ago and haven't been back to :P).

I spent last week re-reading it, revising it, editing it until I never wanted to see the characters again - Lucius who? But it paid off and now I've already gotten through the first set of edits so it's on its way. I fall in love fast with my characters and both the MCs drove me freaking crazy at different times during different scenes but I love them so hard. I don't have a publication date yet, of course, but hopefully in time for GRL.

AND it will be in print too. That kind of makes me squee inside -even though people don't buy a lot of print anymore, especially m/m - it's more about having my name on a cover of something I can hold in my hand. :)  And speaking of covers, I may be having a friend do one but it's still too early to tell. I'll keep you posted.

Now here's an excerpt: (it's a more humorous one but the story is still a mix of angst with some light-heartedness once and a while) Hope you like

*****

Lucius' Bite - Family of Misfits 1

‘They’re dirty and smelly.  I can't believe you invited them for Yule dinner."
"I've already warned you more than once, Lucius. We’re part of the human world not the other way around so get over yourself! Another word about it and you’ll live to regret it."
Lucius Moretti huffed out a breath, snorted and smirked while he searched his brain for one more retort. He knew Ali wouldn’t do anything drastic to him anyhow. He was Ali’s Luscious Lucius after all. "Ah, whatcha gonna do, Ali? Turn me into a stinky human?"
He didn't have time to revel in his amusement since his knees suddenly folded beneath him and he crashed to the floor. He tried to speak but all he managed was a hoarse noise followed by a puff of feathers filling the air. He flailed at the sound of his own voice.
"Trying to say something, Luscious? I can't seem to make out your words through the mouthful of crow you're eating." Ali flipped back his multicolored, waist length hair, rested one hand on his hip and let out an ear-splitting cackle. "Or should I say mouthful of fowl?"
Lucius struggled to voice his anger.  A loud “bock” rolled out of his throat, startling him and making him tip over on his newly-formed pencil-thin legs. He fell back on his feathery butt. “Ba-gock!”
That bastard! He couldn’t. He wouldn’t. He fucking did! Lucius was a goddamn chicken—a goddamn chicken with goddamn chicken feathers and goddamn chicken legs. He clucked again in disgust, the sound made him even more frustrated and angry. He moved his arms to flip a double-fisted bird his den-mother’s way but all he accomplished was a meager flap of his pathetic wings and another burst of feathers into the air.
“Now, now. Don’t get yourself in a flap, love.” Ali chuckled at his own joke and at Lucius’ obvious expense, throwing his lithe body into one of the kitchen chairs. “It’s customary to have turkey for Yule dinner but if you continue to cross me, I have no problem making an exception this year.”
Lucius clucked once in what he hoped was a display of surrender. He was still pissed, but he was a wolf dammit, not some stupid chicken, and there was no way on earth he was staying that way. How dare Ali turn him into a lowly farm animal simply because he couldn’t handle the truth about his human lover? Humans were to be ridiculed, ignored and avoided, not invited into the home of supernatural beings with much higher intelligence and wit and, well, everything else.
And not only had Ali befriended and invited the commoner to their home, to what he always referred to as their most important family dinner, but he had been sleeping with him in the room right next to Lucius’. Ali had been subjecting the entire household to raucous barnyard noises and smells simply so he could get his rocks off. Lucius would be lying if he said the noises didn’t turn him on sometimes, when he pressed his ear against the wall, fingers twisting around his hard length while Ali enthusiastically hissed at his lover— on your knees, suck harder, ass in the air, I’m gonna come! Lucius had never actually met the man, only seen him when he snuck in at night and out again in the morning, and that alone told him that Ali had to be at least partially ashamed of his choice in species.
Why couldn’t he find someone of his own caliber to bed? Not a wolf of course, they were far too fussy to sleep with witches, but another witch or even one of those friendly vampires that ran the local after-dark beauty salon? Goddess knows Ali spent enough time there keeping himself beautiful. Last year, Ali had even canoodled the ugliest troll known to well… trolls, but his current human far exceeded even that disgusting display in smell and appearance.
“Even as a chicken, I can still hear your wheels spinning,” Ali said, rising from the chair where he’d been casually perched. “Would you like me to think of something even worse than fowl? Or are you going to give up this prejudice bullshit that you have against my lover and his kind?”
Lucius clucked and staggered his way across the floor, skidding to a stop at Ali’s feet. He pecked gently against Ali’s calf, through the long silky material of his robe, and clucked again. He wasn’t giving up, but Ali didn’t have to know that, now did he?
“What do you think would be worse than being a chicken, Luscious?” Balls! The bastard and his psychic hearing.“Perhaps Manny can think of something. He’s always ripe with creative ideas.”
Lucius backed away when Ali called out “Manny” and a scattering of feet scrambled down the hall. “Holy Christ on a cracker!” Lucius flinched at the voice, ducking his chicken head and moving closer to Ali. “Ali, do you know there’s a chicken in the kitchen? Do you want I should eat it and get it out of the way?”
Lucius gasped in a way only chickens could, more of a regurgitated burping sound than a real gasp, when he heard the crackle-crunch-pop of bones shifting into place and skin stretching followed by the low moan of pain that usually accompanied Manny’s shifting. He looked up, staring bug-eyed—well, chicken-eyed—into the glowing golden orbs of the mountain lion who growled as he stalked closer to Lucius.
“Ba-gock!” Lucius screamed. He flapped his wings to no avail and ran about the kitchen like an actual chicken with its head cut off. “Bock! Bock! Bock!” he continued to squawk, throwing his round, downy body behind Ali’s legs and cowering.
Manny continued to advance on the chicken, lowering his head as he ducked under the table before crawling under the chair, heading straight for the bird. Fear and anxiety rip through him, his body shuddering and shaking as the head got closer, big white teeth almost smiling as Manny closed the gap.
The mountain lion came nose to beak with Lucius who’d backed up as far as he could into the wall, his little chicken feet scratching madly against the hardwood floor. Lucius squeezed his eyes shut and prayed for a quick death, his entire life rushing past him in a totally cool Technicolor way. It occurred to him he’d never realized chickens could see color. He flinched when hot breath teased over his face before something wet scraped over his eyes… what the fuck?
“Okay, Manny,” Ali’s amused voice called out. “That’s enough. I think we’ve gotten the message across. Stop drooling on the chicken.”
Manny stopped licking and Lucius opened his eyes very slowly. For the love of the goddess, now he smelled like barnyard animal and stinky cat breath. Disgusting. He watched as a grinning-widely, man-Manny returned and the horrible feline disappeared but he was still apprehensive when he stepped out from behind Ali’s legs. He hoped like hell he hadn’t let loose a pile of chicken turds or even worse laid an egg when he’d nearly been frightened to death.
Someone was going to pay for his humiliation and he was already plotting some bad-ass revenge.

Music Monday - Apocalyptica

Apocalyptica is a Finnish band formed in 1993 when four classically trained cellists gathered to play Metallica covers at Sibelius Academy. Since then Apocalyptica (I really love their name) with its three members --Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lotjonen, Perttu Kivilaakso and Mikko Siren (Jesus - try spelling those even while you're looking at them) --have sold over four million albums. Their music has been called everything from classical to neo-classical metal to thrash metal and even symphonic metal. I just call it and them very unique.

The first time I heard of the band was in fanfiction of all places and I immediately checked them out. The combination of hard-rocking music, beautiful long-haired (you gotta admit they're pretty hot) and kick-ass cellos suits me just fine. I love that they have guest-vocalists that fit perfectly into the dynamics of the band, that their videos are freaky awesome, that they wear guy-liner, and basically, I just think the whole band and their music is cool as hell. Check them out.
(they're coming to the University here but I don't wanna go alone - any takers?)

My fave song and video of theirs because it has the awesome (and Canadian) Adam Gontier from Three Days Grace.

Featuring Gavin Rossdale from Bush.

Featuring Brent Smith from Shinedown(there is another version of this song with Doug Robb from Hoobastank)

And Corey Taylor from Slipknot and Stone Sour

A live video to show you how they work it on stage.(there are other live ones where they *ahem* are shirtless :P)

Different live version, only 3 cellos, a shirtless Perttuu and some tongue. Lol.

Six sentence Sunday & Nick Adams

Happy Sunday - I'm a little late I know. I thought I'd give this Six Sentence Sunday thing a shot. So I thought it was appropriate to give you a couple of "sixes" from Lazy Sundays - my free read for Love Is Always Write, plus some pretties for a Sunday afternoon.

*****

Lazy Sundays 1

Watching someone sleep had to rate very high on the stalker scale. It didn't matter if the bedroom belonged to the person doing the watching or that said person was not sneaking around or hiding while they were doing the deed. No, none of that was the issue at all for Scott Weston. It was more the fact he did it every single time Devon stayed over. Since that number was up in the high twenty-something range, stalking had to be involved.
It wasn't like he purposely woke up early to stare at the beautiful, tattooed man who had by some serious stroke of luck become his lover.
*****Lazy Sundays 2
He was awoken only a few hours later by a strong hand wrapped around his cock and Devon’s beer-laden breath brushing over his lips. Scott pushed him away, checking to see if Devon was indeed awake before shoving him to his back and straddling his body. He was horny as hell and going by the hardness pressing against his cock, Devon was ready, willing, and able.
Devon grabbed for his dick again, but Scott batted his hand way, circling his fingers around Devon's wrist and hoisting Devon’s right arm above his head. He kneed Devon’s legs apart, and then situated himself between them, pressing down on top of Devon, their groins flush and bodies already squirming with desire. Devon groaned and lifted his head to capture Scott’s mouth and Scott obliged with a hard crush of his lips, sending Devon’s head back into the pillow.
*****
I talked about Priscilla Queen of the Desert in my last post. Fabulous show, talented actors and just the best time ever.

Nick Adams plays the fun-loving Felicia, and he stole the entire show, at least for me. He had this smile that just lit up everything around him and talk about talented - he danced, sang and joked his way into my heart. Here's some pics of the show and of course Nick. (ahem, lots)
Happy Sunday.

And my favorite one.

Wow, an actual update

I must repeat "Wow". It's been just over a month since I was here and I'm not sure I actually remember how to blog now at all. But I'll give it a try.

My New York trip went well, if not more than a little annoying on crutches. Even taxis are frustrating with crutches - they want you in and out as fast as possible and some of those backseats have zilch in the way of legroom. I have to give huge kudos to my bff Piper Vaughn for putting up with having to haul me around New York and for being an awesome roomie. :)

I was worried about the whole airport situation - having to haul my *ahem* huge bag around with me but ended up being carted in a wheelchair through the entire airport both times. It was embarrassing but necessary I guess. The weather was good and the hotels we stayed in were both good, too - each having its own pluses and minuses. We did some sightseeing on the top of a Hop On Hop Off bus - after being shuffled to the very front of the line because *ahem* I was the Chosen one. Lol. The bad part of the bus was the guide and his annoying little earbud commentary but I won't get into that. We walked a fair bit that day too and I have to say I was a trooper considering it was hot and my right leg was screaming at me to just stop and sit down.

Some highlights - the Rainbow Book Fair was interesting though the table Piper and I were in charge of (for Less Than Three Press) was not in the section where we got the m/m traffic. We still talked to a few people, sold a few books and got to meet some of the other authors. Amy Lane is a sweetheart and gives great hugs and squees. Christopher Koehler is taller than the damn Empire State Building - well, okay, he's just really tall. Gosh, it's been so long I can't remember who else was there. Damon Suede did the manly thing and packed all of our boxes to the curb then became Superman when he jumped in front of a taxi and told him exactly what he had to do.

That's one thing Piper and I were not so good at in New York, hailing taxis... and knowing where we were. Lol. Also, got to meet K. Piet who is an absolute sweetheart. Also present but I'd met before were: Rowan Speedwell, J.P. Barnaby, Ellis Carrington, Rachel Haimowitz, J.M. Snyder (never met before actually) and I know I'm missing a bunch.

Central Park Carriage Ride  We had the cutest Irishman show us around Central Park on his lovely horse and carriage. I could have listened to his accent all night and when he took out his cropped and whipped the bad taxi-cab - let's just say parts of my body came to attention. Lol. Just ask Piper.

Broadway!  We saw the most fabulous show EVER! If you go to New York and want drama, comedy, fabulous dancing, singing, smiling, and hot men in dresses doing all those things, you have to go to

PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT.

It was so damn good and interactive and funny and sad and anything else you want in a show. 1/4 the way through I just wanted to go again. The stand-out for me was the multi-talently and totally gorgeous Nick Adams. He will have his post soon. He sang, he danced, he had perfect comedic timing, his smile could launch a thousand ships and he was so ripped and hot I wanted to stick bills in his pants. Hot damn.

Finally meeting a friend in person. One of the most exciting highlights for me was meeting someone I'd become close to online, someone who has nothing to do with my writer side, just my friend side. I was nervous as all hell - crutched my way up God knows how many metal stairs just to want to turn around and go right back down again because my nerves were screaming at me. I didn't and it went well. He was everything I thought he was and more.

I got to spend my last day with him, crutching around Soho and I don't know where else. He showed me his fave stores and I bought a few things for my kids including this adorable freeze-dried bat for my baby boy. It seriously is. They all had different looks on their faces so we had to pick one out. This one looks a little diabolical and we liked his face. :)

Overall it was a very good trip and I was exhausted when I got home. Don't let anyone tell you that crutches are easy to walk around New York with, they're a total pain in the ass. My knee continued to get worse again when I was gone, too much use obviously.

Yesterday I got a steroid shot in the anserine bursa of my knee. Holy mother of something, it hurt like hell. My mom gets cortisone shots in her knee for arthritis but they put them right in the joint. With a bursa shot they have to find the exact spot where the pain is the worst so it took a lot of freaking pain to even get to the part where they put the needle in. It swelled up even more last night but today it's settled down a little. I'm trying to keep positive that it will help and I'll be able to take a chainsaw to those crutches soon but even the doctor wasn't all that sure if it would work. I need to be walking at least semi-normally by the beginning of June for the Northern European cruise the hubby and I are taking. *keeps fingers crossed*

Writing After what seemed like forever of revising and editing and reading through it again and again and again and humming and hahing and being nervous, I finally finished and sent Lucius' Bite off to be considered for publication. I procrastinated so long on doing it and now that it's gone, I feel like a weight has lifted. I really love the story and there are already sequels floating around in my head. I also finished a story for the Love Is Always Write challenge on GoodReads. It's called Lazy Sundays and I think it's pretty sweet. The pic I was given for inspiration is posted on the right side of this blog.

My next project is to get my Father's Day story finished by May 1, as well as my lawyer story that is drowning in dust. And wouldn't you know it, Less Than Three posted an anthology call for - are you ready - ROCKSTARS! My favourite subject. I have to get these other two finished first though, plus I have Glitter Fox 2, and Home on the Ranch 2  sitting on the back-burner steaming away.

In other news, I started a Tumblr. It's mostly hot shirtless men, gay couples kissing and snuggling, and more hot men so if anyone's interested in that kind of thing, here's the link.

K-lee Klein Tumblr

I'd also love any feedback you want to give me. Is there anything I used to post on my blog you'd like to see more of? Do you like author interviews or WIP postings? Do my music posts interest you? I'm just looking for ideas to improve what I'm doing. Thanks guys. Have a good weekend.

I'll leave you with a pic of my favourite Survivor character this season. Say hi to Jay Byars. He already got booted off - I don't know what those people were thinking. I wouldn't kick him off the island for anything in the world.  :)

A personal tribute to William Neale

Have you ever met someone who made you feel at ease in a matter of moments when all you'd been feeling before was fear and trepidation? Someone with a soft, caring voice that snuck under your skin and made you not flee a nervous situation and run back to your room? William Neale was that person to me at GRL. He was the first person to welcome me to the MLR family and the first to actually look me in the eye and say "didn't I hear that you have a book coming out?"

I was home when I heard the news, a repair guy in the next room fixing the dryer as I burst into uncontrollable tears. He assumed it was just my knee giving me grief when he got me to sign off on what he'd done and I was still crying. My week went from weeping at the drop of a hat - not that unusual for me since I can have days like that anyhow, but this time Bill was always on my mind when it happened. My chastised myself (something I'm very good at) for acting fooling when in reality I only knew the man for 5 months and before that had barely known who he was. "There are people who loved him more, people who knew him much longer and you're just thinking about yourself" and yeah, I was thinking about myself. I was thinking how much I'd come to care about a man who made me feel welcome in a nerve-racking situation, a man who gave me not one but two of his books - the first when I met him in a room where he waited to introduce himself and sign some books, and the second near the end of GRL when he came up to me and said "I knew I had one squirrelled away". He handed me a copy of Home inscribed with the words, "Welcome to the family, K-lee. I hope you always have that special place you call home and if I can ever help in any way, I'm only an email away. Hugs Bill."

Bill and I stayed in touch after GRL, usually an email here and there, always encouraging and positive. I hassled him about doing an interview at Christmas for his new release and he complied like a trooper. He even wrote a sweet note to the winner when he send her the ebook she'd won. I also nagged him about joining the Hop Against Homophobia and he was bound and determined to do it even if it meant reopening his blog. Which he did - in a way I was so proud of him for. (Bill's books will still be given away for the Hop in his honour)

http://williamneale.blogspot.ca/

We'd been in emailing back and forth a lot over the past couple of months, resulting from me being nervous about signing up as an author for GRL2012 and him being his ever-supportive, humorous self. He mentored me through which things I should sign up for -

"No, I'm not doing the Q & A, what would people want to ask me anyhow?"

"Don't sell yourself short on the Q&A. Being there as a new author will appeal to a lot of readers who aspire to do the same thing. You have a point of view that more seasoned authors don't have. And it's a real simple, low pressure way to get used to the spotlight a little. You're sharing it with three others plus a moderator in front of the friendliest audience in the world so I think you should use the opportunity to get your name out a little. Just my limited opinion LOL."

When he found out I would have at least one print book for GRL, Bill told me his wallet was out and ready, but could I please not use one of those glittery pens because they hurt his masculinity (he did LOL after that too). We'd made plans for lunch, hatched schemes to shake our sig others in the event they decided to attend GRL with us, and were just generally happy to see each other again. Bill gave the best hugs and I was looking forward to getting some of his Southern-boy sugar. As I write this I'm still weeping a little but the grief is turning into bursts of thankfulness that I knew him and was able to get to know him a little. He was a truly gifted man in his writing, his personality and just his whole way of being alive. I miss him already and I'm sure there will be a few tears for him at GRL this year but at the same time, we'll all give thanks that his involvement in the event was monumental and he will truly be missed.

Just a couple of other things to do with Bill. The Romance Reviews has made its nominations for best books of 2011 and Bill's fabulous story, A New Normal, has been nominated in the GLBT Contemporary Romance category. There are a few of my dear friends nominated and names you might recognize more than William Neale but in my opinion it would be a great tribute to him if you'd consider voting for A New Normal and if not, at least give it a read. It's a wonderful story. Here's the blurb:
~~Former Marine Corps Major Jake Vincenzo had a plan. He was convinced that his son Mark and his long-time best friend Cade were in love but just didn't know it. Forced for years to hide his own gayness, Jake had kept a secret getaway -- a remote mountain cabin -- where he now intended to play matchmaker for the two nineteen year-olds. What he didn't count on was falling in love with Cade. How will the three navigate the minefields of potential hurt, jealousy and even betrayal? How will father and son maintain their close relationship without viewing each other as rivals? And how will Cade reconcile falling in love with the two most important men in his life against the backdrop of a disapproving family? For each, it means redefining normal. It means finding a new normal.~~

This is the link to the nominations - you have to scroll down quite a bit to get to the GLBT Contemporary Romance category and you have to register to do so - very easy to do. Thanks for your consideration and I hope you'll pick up a William Neale book sometime in the future in his honour.
GLBT Contemporary Romance - William Neale "A New Normal"

I borrowed this banner from MLR who did a wonderful write-up tribute to Bill. Click below the pic and it will take you there. I was going to post his obit as well, but since it makes me sad that Bill's partner, Marty, was not mentioned at all, you can read it on the MLR page if you want. Bill had also been working on book 4 of the Home series to be released in the spring - I'm not sure when that will be happening but I'm looking forward to one more book from my friend.

http://www.mlrpressauthors.com/catego... failed to get a pic of myself with Bill at GRL - something I really regret - but I do have a fabulous one of him and JP Bowie I'd like to share. :)

Finally, here is the main link for Bill's books and the bio from his website. There's no greater way to describe Bill's books than Happily-ever-after or feel-good stories. I think I cried more than once in every single one and that's something that tied me to him, as well, the emotional aspects of all his books.
~~William Neale lives in Cleveland, Ohio with his partner of over a decade. Relatively new to the world of contemporary m/m romance, he spent over thirty years as a successful corporate communications executive, ad man, and PR "spin doctor."

Knowing how to "make up the truth" prepared him well for his next career as an author. William makes no apologies for the fact that his books and characters are often larger than life. A William Neale novel invites you to a fantasy - to a place where you can dream and hope that indeed, happily-ever-after can and does exist.

Those who seek brutally "real," gritty, and angst-ridden life stories probably won't find them in a William Neale book. "That's okay," says Neale. "Not everybody wants or appreciates a feel-good story. As for me, reading has always been a wonderful escape from reality. Even as a child, I loved the fantasy of becoming Peter Pan, Huck Finn, or one of the Hardy Boys."

William greatly appreciates comments and suggestions from readers and promises to respond to all.
~~
I miss you, my friend.

Tattoo Tuesday - Tommy Lee - Rocker edition (NSFW)

Alas my Tattoo Tuesday has now gone the way of the rocker, just like everything else in my blog. But hopefully only for today.

Thomas Lee Bass, AKA Tommy Lee, born October 3, 1962 in Athens, Greece - he's rude, crude and lude, and makes absolutely no apologies for it. He's also hot, cute, sweet and has his hands in several different charities. I loved him on Rock Star Supernova and had some definite slashy thoughts about him and Gilby Clark (GnR), and hey, they picked an awesome Canadian boy as the winner, so what's not to love. I won't talk about his choices in women, although one of them was Canadian, too. I've loved that we have the same middle name and if I married him I'd be K-lee Lee - I could live with that, but probably not so much with the rude, crude and lude part, lol. Anyhow, enjoy some vintage (and mostly naked) Tommy Lee.

Lol - baby Tommy Lee 1983

Hmmm. he must be a grower. :P

Yeah, him and Gilby - I couldn't resist

Told you he could be cute, too. :)
