My free read ~~Lazy Sundays~~ is out...& spontaneous Thor pics

*clears head of Chris Hemsworth in undies images* *bejesus*

LAZY SUNDAYS FREE READ
In other news, I updated my main blog page so my WIPs are more in order now (how did I ever get so many on my plate). I also found a word counter widget thingy that doesn't seem to just change my word count all on its own (man, that was so annoying). So check it out while you're here. :)
Okay - you know I had to look, right. Didn't find Chris in undies but I found these.
Chris on a waterslide.

Music Monday - randomly random

Here we go - starting with Evans Blue - both these songs are on the album "The Melody and the Energetic Nature of Volume". The vids are only lyrics but the songs have been on repeat the past few days. Also, I may have posted some of these songs before or at least the bands.
Evans Blue - Over
Evans Blue - Possession
Alan Doyle - Where the Nightingale Sings (plus one other)Yeah, I did Alan not too long ago but I find this song very inspiring for my Ancient Greek story
Seether - RosesDid a post on my fave boys before but they'll be here for the Stampede on the 10th so I'm psyched. This song's off the new album Holding Onto Strings Better Left To FrayAnd OMG, I love that pic! *screencaps*
30 Seconds to Mars - Hurricane (the Kanye West version - 1st version I heard actually)Random facts: Did I ever tell you my voice is on the songs on the album This is War, I'm on the DVD at some of the shows and in a tiny interview AND my face is on 200 album covers. :)(PS some of the lyrics are wrong on this vid but I liked the backdrop)
Christian Kane - Let Me GoHa! Did I make you go WTF Country? Lol. I love Christian Kane. And yeah, he's the Christian Kane from "Angel" and "Leverage". Sizzling hot too. *hiss*

Spain wins Euro 2012 - my last sports post ever
Sports don't usually get me excited - not even hockey and I'm a big ole Canuck. But there was only two maybe three complete games I missed in Euro 2012 and I'm so excited that "my" team won. Lol. 4-0 over Italy. It was basically a run-away but Spain played perfectly. Awesome game.
Just a few other pics with probably a common theme of Fernando Torres. :)
This is such a cool pic. Torres just passed the ball to Juan Mata who scored Spain's 4th goal.
And now another obsession can float away - wonder what's next? ;)PS It's probably not my last sports post. ;P

Happy Canada Day, eh...website update, blurbs & football

My Canada Day will be spent watching the Euros 2012 final between Spain and Italy. Yes, I am addicted to this tournament - I even watched every game (at least partially) on my cruise. And speaking of my cruise - yes, I am due a blog post about it. The motivation just has not hit yet.

It's for an anthology call and I'm just praying I get it done on time AND it's accepted. If not, then I guess I can eventually turn it into something else, as I'm having to do with my original Olympic story that just got too long and emotional for the anthology call.
It was Ancient Greece and since that subject is very dear to my heart, I'll find it a home eventually.

Writing news: I have two new blurbs to share with you AND the joy I'm feeling from having my website updated. The fabulous T.T. Kove did it for me after I struggled all day and eventually decided to just blow the whole damn thing up. I didn't do that - couldn't do that with Zathyn's beautiful header sitting there at the top but now T.T. has fixed it up all pretty. Have a look - check out the BOOK and COMING SOON tabs - leave a comment if you like. I'm hoping to do some blog posts on there - strictly writing and book related - maybe just copy and paste posts that are relevant from here.

Now onto blurbs. "Lazy Sundays" my free Love is Always Write story comes out tomorrow or Tuesday. Here's the link for GoodReads. It will be available there on the group but also for download in PDF and ePub. (thank you Megan and Sasha). I'm pretty happy with this one and the characters are still calling out for their sequel - I think that's probably going to happen too. :)

Lazy Sundays - blurb

Devon is rugged, masculine, long-haired and tattooed—a man's man. Scott falls hard and fast for him, and to his complete surprise, Devon seems to have feelings for Scott as well. It all seemed so simple.
But then there's the part where Devon never wants to go out, and their regular thing is confined to those days when Devon shows up in Scott's doorway. Scott desperately wants more, but is afraid that pushing will cost him what he already has …
I have a release date, blurb and cover for "Domestic Relations" now as well. It will go live on September 5 at Less Than Three Press in ebook and eventually print, too. :) My lawyer boys are still pretty vivid in my head - who knows, maybe they'll get another go eventually too.
Domestic Relations on GoodReads

Life has thrown a lot at Riley, most of it bad. But Riley is nothing if not stubborn, and though it left scars, he's managed to break free of the worst of his life. Not all of his problems are gone, but life is certainly better than it's ever been. Most of that is due to his boyfriend Josh, the best thing that life has given him, and Riley will do anything to keep hold of him.
But when past and present collide, and the problems become too much for Riley to contain or control, Josh is the very thing he stands most to lose …
Now I'll end off with some hugs - slashy, inspiring football/soccer hugs. :P
I promise to be back sooner than later. :)

Oh dear - is the adorable Fernando Torres pouting? Possibly because Spain is not playing a striker right off the bat today.I'm pouting now, too.

I'm back, books are out and 777 challenge :)

Both my new releases are live - Yays! Countdown to Daddies has gotten some great stars and reviews and hopefully once a few people read Lucius' Bite I'll get those, too. Can only hope people like what you write, right? I think that's natural. The sequel to Lucius is already floating in bits and pieces in my head, just need to find some time to put them on the page.
I'm going to do a post on my trip - probably a couple of them since I feel so ADHD at the moment and my focus is worth crap. Hope you don't mind if I put up a couple buyers' links for my books - here they are:

COUNTDOWN TO DADDIES

LUCIUS' BITE (FAMILY OF MISFITS 1)
Now for something a little different. I was tagged by my buds Embry Carlysle and Xara X. Xanakas for the 777 challenge. Here's my 7 lines (okay a couple extra) from the 7th paragraph on the 7th page of my current WIP (and they're even clean ;D) (it's totally a WIP so names and everything else could change but here it is)
* * * * *
Xanthos left the tavern without a word, leaving Demetrios sputtering and fuming on the floor as he shoved his way through the crowd of drunken men. He fled to the quiet calm of his room but not before grabbing a bottle of wine from Lykos' parents' great room. It may be the coward's way of handling his feelings, his pain, his frustration, but if drinking deadened him to the stinging bite of truth for just a while it was well worth the lowly title.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Lykos waited at the baths for over an hour, finally resigning himself to the fact Xanthos wasn't coming. He splashed some water over his face, attempted to scrub the disappointment and worry from his skin. It had been a mistake to tell Xanthos about his confrontation with Demetrios. He believed his reaction to the incident itself had been justified and had Xanthos heard the rest of what their supposed friend had spoken of, Lykos was sure his beloved would have accepted that he'd done the right thing. He'd tried to ignore the venomous words but his composure had finally cracked with Demetrios' last statement.

Lucius' Bite - Release Day Give-away

I don't have the buyer's link yet but here's the MLR Press website link.
~~One bite has never been a life changing decision but it is now — to bite or not to bite that is the question.!!
All Lucius needs is his family. They might be a mismatched and unconventional group but they’re the only “real” family he knows and wants. What Lucius doesn’t need is the strange, beautiful man who arrives as a last minute dinner guest and knocks him and his wolf on his ass, literally.
Just being in the same room with the mysterious Nicu proves disastrous. Lucius knows without a doubt he doesn’t need the havoc Nicu threatens to bring to his predictable, but comfortable existence. But when he stands to lose the man who is tearing his life apart, Lucius realizes he doesn’t know what he needs at all.

Countdown to Daddies - Release Day give-away

I don't have the buyer's link yet but here's the MLR Press site in case you want to check it out.
~~Even gay dads have pregnancy pains~~
Matteo and Gabe have everything they could ever want out of life, except for a family all their own. When Gabe's twin sister offers to be their surrogate, it’s a dream come true until she insists they be completely involved in the pregnancy. The new dads quickly realize they may have bitten off more than they can chew.
Happy Father's Day to all those daddies out there. :)

Bon Voyage - keep in touch

I'm still one-crutching it - annoying but although my MCL and hamstrings are much better, my bursitis is coming back. I can't get another steroid shot until I get back so the pain is definitely more than it was even two weeks ago. I'll survive - rest when I have to, ice it and be careful (have I told you I'm a klutz?) Besides being crutch-challenged, I'm also going to be internet-challenged while I'm gone. I'm hoping to check up on email a few times at least but on the ship it costs an arm and a leg, of which I already only have one good one.
Anyhow here's the latest in my writer's world.
~~Domestic Relations has officially been finished and subbed to Less Than Three Press. I hope it's okay because I sure struggled with the final read-thru. Sam has already told me I'm a comma-splice whore so I hope there isn't a whole ton of other stuff wrong with it too. :/ I'll keep you posted on the cover and release date.
~~Countdown to Daddies goes live on June 15 at MLR. I'm running a give-away as well - hopefully when I schedule it, Blogger will do what it's supposed to.
~~Finished the galley proofs for Lucius' Bite tonight. Release date is June 22 - will also be running a give-away so stay tuned. I swear when I was looking over the proofs I wanted to rewrite the whole damn thing. I hope that's a common occurrence with writers because I was pretty damn proud of it before those proofs. Lol. Guess I'll find out soon enough if it's up to par.
~~Lazy Sundays will be posted on GR and my website on July 7. I still think it's one of my fave stories that I've written - the characters really spoke to me.
~~Working on a couple of things right now - nothing taking preference over the other yet. I have to feel the story take over before I decide which one I'll really concentrate on. I updated my blog page and finally added my few-years-old WIP. It's about two dancers and I've posted their inspirational pictures under the heading "Sam and Jandro". One of these days I'll have to go back into it and do some major cleaning up, add some smexing and maybe think about subbing it somewhere. It's already 80,000 words, longest I've written to date and it's one of the most emotional stories I've written as well.
Okay I've still got a ton of stuff to do and since it's 11pm I better get cracking. Talk to you guys soon.
(gratuitous sexy pics go here)
Caution - slippery when wet

The incomparable Brian Kinney (Gale Harold)

Mark Ballas (from DWTS) - I love his tattoo

You could wash clothes on those abs.

"Magic Mike" - I saw the preview and meh, still wanna see it for the beef though. :P

Gratuitous Chris Hemsworth (of course)

Brothers Hemsworth (damn fine genes - jeans)

And of course, with Loki (Tom Hiddleston)(yeah, I'm still obsessed - shocking)

And of course, Loki (Tom Hiddleston)(love this pic - the colours are so awesome)

Ramblings, updates, hiatus (sort of)

I do need more time despite flitting and procrastinating it away the past couple of weeks. I leave Tuesday for a 12 night cruise to Northern Europe, all in total gone from June 5-23 and I am not prepared. Haven't decided what I can wear (read - what I can fit into that's not disgusting on me), what I should take (I'm an obsessive over-packer), what can stay behind (not much - kitchen sink maybe?) Anyone have any must-sees or suggestions for London, England - we'll be there 3 nights after the cruise?

I will be making up a couple scheduled posts with a give-away on Countdown to Daddies (comes out June 15) and Lucius' Bite (June 22) and hopefully blogger won't screw those up. I'd appreciate it if you read those posts that you'd tweet the links or whatever, just to get the word out. I have a couple of other blogs doing give-aways, too, and will keep try to update you on that.
As for the promo thing, most days I just don't have a clueI know there are no guarantees in writing and unless you really put yourself out there, nothing will happen for you but sometimes it's discouraging. I'm also feeling some readers/buyers guilt because I've finally realized that waiting to buy books at All Romance (for the deals), Fictionwise (for the sales) or even on Amazon (for the format) severely cuts into the royalties of authors. My first royalty statements cleared that up in my mind and I'm definitely going to try to buy my books right from the publishers now. Third party sales are wicked hard on the author. I've definitely learned a lesson and it's discouraging because I know why people (myself) buy them from those distributors so asking someone to just buy from the pubs is unfair. This isn't a lecture by any means, just a realization that struck home hard and fast.

I have some end-of-Hop ends to tied up (thanks again to all who participated - I believe it was a success) on top of the editing, packing and freaking out so I should get my procrastinating butt moving on at least doing something - my mood's been low so that just adds to my lack of motivation. Hopefully I'll get one more post in before I leave. Have a great weekend.
Oh and if you're going to the movies this weekend (and decide not to go to The Avengers LOL - it's only been 4 times for me), keep in mind this movie is out with the lovely (sexy, hot-as-fuck) Chris Hemsworth. :)
